Advantages Easy to use.

Disadvantages The price! Worth every penny though!

The Ergo baby carrier costs around £120. Pricey I hear you say? Yes, it may be..but its worth every single penny. The Ergo can be used from birth with a separate infant insert upto around 3 years (or 33lbs). I have been known to carry my then 3.5 year old in great comfort! The Ergo makes the child feel weightless, their weight is distributed well in the supportive carrier and there is no risk of spinal damage like with similar slings, their bottom and legs are supported well unlike crotch danglers such as Baby Bjorn that don`t hold baby in the optimum position.

You can carry on the front (with baby always facing you) on your back or on your hip. I purchased a chocolate Organic Ergo from The Natural Nursery last year, my second attempt with an Ergo and I must say I wish I had perservered years ago. My newborn at the time preferred a different sling that held her in a different position. Anyway, fast forward 4 years and we are in love with the Ergo. So simple to use on the go, washes well and so comfortable for mother and child. Fabric conditioners can be used, although its recommended that the Ergo is line dried and not tumbled,

The Ergo is a SSC (soft structured carrier) that has buckles, they easily adjust to husbands can babywear too. Its the type of sling to throw on and you are off! Highly recommend to all!

Good review, however there's alot more information you could have added. A few questions to consider answering would be... How easy is it to wash? Can it be tumble dried? Can you use fabric softeners? What do you mean by spinal damage? Do you mean it holds the baby in the optimal position in an M shape, rather than keeping their legs and spine straightened? This needs to be clarified, and please bear in mind, if you make a claim that other carriers could damage the baby's spine, you need to be able to back it up with a selection of studies that have been carried out comparing them - Articles about babywearing could be useful for this but make sure they are from reputable sources. Does it come with instructions? If so, are they easy to follow? What languages to they come in? There is alot more you could have included, but you have made a good start, and welcome to ciao from a fellow babywearer :) x
