Pros: This board will do SLI for Nvidia cards at x16 bandwidth on both Pci-e slots (also has a third pci-e for a physics card 2x gigabit lan ports are really helpful if u run a second computer like me overclocking was amazing, now running my q6600 g0 steppeing at 3.2ghz without any problem at all. cons: The small fan on the northbridge is quite loud and can be a little off putting at times. (although turning the speakers up gets rid of this.
conclusion: i would recommend this board to anyone as it fulfilled all the needs of an enthusiast board without any problem at all. Also went in very well and hasd no problems installing cpu, cpu hs+fan, ram, gcards. throroughly recommended
Advantages: supports fast FSB, fast memory, NVIDIA SLI Disadvantages: expensive, mainboard fan is loud
Advertised as being the ultimate mainboard for Intel Core 2 Duo based computers, it offers high-quality electric components, SLI dual-graphics support, high quality sound, 2 Gigabit ethernet ports, 10 USB ports and much much more.
The board is stylishly designed in black and looks amazing when lit up by cathode tube. The heatpipe design keeps the north & south bridge cool, although when overclocking, you have to keep the loud fan running. I find ... ...I'm not sure why I can't overclock beyond 1600 FSB for a prolonged period of time, maybe because my CPU is giving in at 3.2GHz (E6600). It is quite expensive for a motherboard, but it also has 10 year warranty on it, and the box is packed with gadgets to keep you happy.
Compared to the ASUS Striker, it might be a bit worse in overclocking. ...
