Always was an entry level machine, more so now

"eSystem" was a trademark used by Dixons Stores Group (Dixons, Curry’s, PC World) in the mid 2000’s as what was essentially an ‘own brand’ ‘bargain basement’ series of computers, the 3085 being one of the laptop models. The 3085 comes about as close to ‘commodity computing’ as you can get. Even...

“Excellent Basic Laptop”

Good size keyboard, light and easy to carry.

Havn't come accross any

E System 3085 Notebook is a good basic first laptop. Inter Celeron M410 1.46GHz, 40GB HDD, 256MB RAM, DVD/RW and with a 15.4" widescreen LCD. I bought this mid December 2006 as my first laptop and am pleased to say that for a laptop on the lower end of the price market it suits all I need it for...

Satisfactory

i am typing on this laptop as we speak, i found this laptop terrible. The 40gb is very bad, it freezes almost everyday over no reason. It takes my laptop 30 mins to load and i have barely anything on it. I did not like this laptop and i would not recommend this laptop. Maybe if you upgrade the e system to a 60gb or 80gb maybe i would consider buying it even if you uped the price by 70-100 %u20AC's.

I bought this budget laptop knowing well that it was a budget laptop - I had no need for blazing graphics or built-in webcams etc. Looking back, the main reason was that a little research showed that the motherboard was manufactured by ECS (Elite Computer Systems). I had previously owned an ECS...

Excellent

I got an E-System 3085 for christmas 2006 and it is fantastic. It was always a very quick and light laptop, and i have never had any problems. The only upgrade i felt necessary was to upgrade the 256mb RAM to 1gb, but it is still very fast without it. i would recommend this laptop to anyone. it is very robust and it can handle a lot of programs running at once.
