I spent over ten minutes loading the front page, managed to get half way through personal details and then suffered a barrage of error messages. I tried the process again but to no avail. It seems a shame that the service is online yet I was unable to benefit from the online service. In all, I spent well over thirty minutes just trying to load the various screens without success. We have gone for an insurance policy following a quotation over the telephone in the end as it has been much less hassle.
Advantages: Quality of cover and service Disadvantages: Not the cheapest but definitely competitive
Eagle Star recently merged with Zurich Municipal (the old public sector insurer) creating an insurance giant. Eagle Star offers excellent cover and service (on the telephone number below) with great discounts for public sector workers. They are not the cheapest but they include lots of extras and great service. Extras include 750pounds garden contents cover, replacement locks and keys if house keys are stolen, 10% extra cover for Christmas and wedding ...

But ive found that dealing with Eaglestar via they website at www.eaglestar.co.uk was infact much cheaper than actually dealing with the company via they own telesales department or even via a broker.
Included in there price is breakdown cover....mind it is the bare minimum, but even that is £29 plus with most breakdown companys.
But as with ever thing in life I find.....the more you shop around by whatever means....the more money you could save.If your ringing freephone numbers and you manage to save Fifty quid or more for a couple of hours work, its a good result.The mosts it costs you is your time....

Well it's that time again - dreaded insurance quotes. You know how it is hours and hours of ringing around to find a suitable, cheap quote.
I went through the usual yellow pages, internet search engine to no avail. Everyone wanted high premiums and high excesses.
So I came across EagleStar at www.eaglestardirect.co.uk. Went onto the web site. It was easy to use, and loaded up quickly unlike most of the other sites I went onto. No waiting around for the information to transfer onto the database. Quick and painless.
The website only wanted the basic information - not too many questions to be answered just the usual name, address, car registration, NCB etc.
I waited with anticipation expecting another high insurance premium, but much to my surprise EagleStar came up with a quote that was around 50.00 lower than any ...
