It comes as no surprise that many endowments are failing to reach the required amount. The reason is simple. The commission paid out tot he salesmen was far too high, and the charges are also far too high. Even after 9 years, the policy is only worth 65% of what I have paid to the company. This is quite horrific, and, I am sure, my experience is common with tens of thousands of people who puchased a policy from company.

Eagle star has proved a real bad experience. They have very good salespersons but nothing else . my husband's life insurance matures in two year's time and we'll be lucky if we get 1/5 of what the salesman told us. we would have got much more if we had invested the money we pay each year ourselves. This rip off was an eyeopener and since then we were less gullible and avoided insurance salesmen like the plague. ...

I would like to confess that I do work for Zurich (EagleStar) myself, this view is not biased as the story I'm about to tell happened to my partner (I'm not insured with them - I'm under 25!).
It all began one sunny day while my boyfriend was getting quotes, I told him to call us for a quote - where he quickly laughed & told me this would be far too expensive. I then advised him that as I worked for them he was also eligible for the staff discount too. (Being a coupon man he jumped at the chance of saving himself money) That he did, over £100.
ES are know to be quite expensive, but then as they say: 'You get what you pay for' I've been driving for 5 years now & have dealt with a number of insurance companies, all are very happy to take your money but you never find out how useful they are until you have a problem....

Well it's that time again - dreaded insurance quotes. You know how it is hours and hours of ringing around to find a suitable, cheap quote.
I went through the usual yellow pages, internet search engine to no avail. Everyone wanted high premiums and high excesses.
So I came across EagleStar at www.eaglestardirect.co.uk. Went onto the web site. It was easy to use, and loaded up quickly unlike most of the other sites I went onto. No waiting around for the information to transfer onto the database. Quick and painless.
The website only wanted the basic information - not too many questions to be answered just the usual name, address, car registration, NCB etc.
I waited with anticipation expecting another high insurance premium, but much to my surprise EagleStar came up with a quote that was around 50.00 lower than any ...
