I wouldn't recommend OTEX

Advantages: NONE
Disadvantages: Side effects

...time I decided to give Otex a try. Its awkward having to go to the doctor often to get the problem fixed. I had seen the commercial on television for Otex drops, and they seemed like a good idea. I had one lot of the drops, and a couple of hours later I started getting really bad pain in my ear. The next day I was diagnosed with an ear infection. I have never had an ear infection before, and as it was the first time I had used Otex, so I put the ...

Worked wonders for our little man!

Advantages: Really helps releive symptoms of colic
Disadvantages: Expensive, not always practical to use as you have to wait half an hour

...water we decided to give Colief a try. Although I was reluctant at first given it costs £9.99 for a tiny bottle, we were being driven mad by the constant crying and screaming and figured £10 is a small price to pay to stop our little man's pain and to save our eardrums!!! After a couple of days his crying calmed down a lot, although he still suffers a little bit it is nowhere near as bad as it was before we started using Colief. Colief works by ...
...more digestable. To use Colief you have to put 4 drops into the warm milk and leave for half an hour. This is fine as long as you know when your baby needs feeding! During the overnight feed and if he catches us out and needs feeding earlier than usual we still have to use Infacol as it is not always practical to wait half an hour!! I think if we were to use Colief religiously it would work perfectly but as this is not practical for us, just being ...

Rubbish

Advantages: None apart from readily available and cheap.
Disadvantages: Olive oil has the same effect

...wax removal such as the Earex Advanced. Now that really does clear your ears out! Odd side effects after using this can be: - smelly ears - strange sensations - comeplete deafness after 2 days (temporary until the wax falls out.) - needing your ears to be syringed If you do not suffer from a huge build-up of ear wax, then warmed olive oil will be just as effective. But if you must have something with a name on, then it is available in most good high ...

Cerumol Ear Drops. Effective and easy to use.

Advantages: No horrid side effects, easy to use
Disadvantages: May not shift stubborn wax

Review of Cerumol Ear Drops Why I Bought it Both my daughter and my partner have hearing loss, for different reasons, but they both suffer with the discomfort of hardened, excessive ear wax. The condition is uncomfortable for them as the presence of the wax can have the effect of lessening what hearing they do have. Unfortunately, a side effect of my partner's hearing aid is that it causes a build up of ear wax. Cerumol was recommended to me ...
...The Product **Packaging** Cerumol Ear Drops are designed to aid the loosening and removal of ear wax. The product is for external use only and is a safer alternative to using cotton buds to dislodge excessive ear wax. The product is presented in a white and cerise pink cardboard box. The product name and brief use description are very clearly displayed on the front of the box. Instructions for use are printed on the reverse of the packaging along ...

Forget the pan pipes and get rid of that wax!

Advantages: A safe and gentle way to remove ear wax
Disadvantages: You need to be very careful when using them

The whole concept of ear candles was a new one for me. I used to walk quickly past my local Chinese medicine centre, with its strange photos of people with lighted candles in their ears, thinking that this was the strangest and most unnatural thing I had ever seen! My 14 year old son complained about constant ringing in his ears at the same time as I read a review of the Hopi ear candle - and I decided to give ear candling a go! For some reason I ...
...Holland and Barrett to ask for the candles - but the reaction of the sales assistant took me by surprise. "Fantastic", she said - "very popular" - "not at all weird". She recommended that I unravel the remnants of the candle once I had used it to look at the wax that had collected inside. Yeuk! ~~the candle~~ I bought a pack of two candles for £8.20 from Holland and Barrett. I also had the option of buying a bumper pack of 6 for £20.99, but thought ...
