When I was planning a trip to the US for earlier this year, I thought that i'd book everything over the internet. I'd never done it before, so the idea of booking hotels and a transatlantic flight - plus an interconnecting flight from Las Vegas to L.A, was a bit daunting. I found once I'd got started there were two sites that I found invaluable. The first was a hotel booking site called casenet - based in the US, cos I was booking US hotels - the second was ebookers. I could put in the dates I wanted to go, the destimation etc and it would come up with the best prices from all the major airlines. Now I must say that I never actually booked through ebookers, BUT it was very useful to know that the price I finally booked for was consistent with the internet offer. That may seem obvious, but believe me I tried a number of different sites and the prices and availabilities they came up with varied so much to make their site just a waste of time. Consistently ebookers came up with availability, price details of the flight times, connections etc. I fdound it a very efficient site and when I book my next internet flights there site will be the first i will look at
