...I've had a VL-Z1H for a month and can't fault it. At the price I paid (£249 from toys r us) it represents incredible value. At first I thought the twist feature might be another useless gimmick but its very useful and allows comfortable fiming at any angle. The camera is small enough to be carried in the palm of the hand all day. I've not tried filming using the view finder as the flip out screen can be seen bright sunlight with or without the backlight switched on. You do need to get a firewire card to transfer video to your PC but at £12 including cable from ebuyer this isn't a problem, the camera is instantly identified by XP when connected. ...I bought this camera a couple of months ago on ebuyer for £103 what a bargain, its easy to use and takes great pictures the zoom is excellent and the batteries last a long time. It also has lots of different settings so you can play around to get the best shot also the macro and super macro feature is excellent as well as settings like portrait and landscape also has adjustbale shutter speeds and numerous other settings it also has red eye reduction an intelligent flash which you can turn on or off, other features include a 10x optical zoom, self timer, picture stabilization, up to 48 x zoom with the digital zoom turned on, different picture quality settings, manual and automatic focus settings, video recording, large lcd display, colour view finder, black and white picture mode, xd memory card or sd card compatable, it comes... ...I bought this a few weeks ago as I needed a camera quickly because I was going to a concert and obviously wanted to take some good pics. I didn't have a very big budget so settled for this model from Ebuyer.co.uk for approx £75 I had read mixed reviews so was a little concerned but overall I am very pleased with its performance. The camera is 5.2megapixels which, I believe, is high for the price. Many cameras around this price only have 3-4mp. I has 3x optical zoom and 7x digital zoom, which can obviously make the pictures very 'pixelated' but this is to be expected using any digital zoom. It has a 1.8 LCD screen but also a viewfinder which is really useful if you don't want to waste the batteries using the viewfinder As well as taking photos you can record movies.
