The sun is out for the first time this year, you reach for sleeveless T-shirt and a short skirt, but wait look at those pasty arms and blue-white legs, what can you do? Reach for the self tan and fake it. I started to use Ecotan last summer as I was sick of hiding in the back garden until my legs had lost the deathly winter pallour. The first go disaster! I had brown drips round my ankles which took a few days to fade. I had followed the instructions but failed to judge the twelve inches(30 cms) distance to spray from correctly. My second try was much more successful and I have been using it ever since. I have since learnt that if your first coat is less than perfect a second one will help even it out a bit. The advantage of using this brand of spray tan on the body I have found is that it is easy to cover large areas evenly and it dries quickly. I have these tips for using it to the best effect.... Exfoliate. If your knees, elbows or ankles are rough and dry shove on some body lotion before you spray. Spray it on lightly. Do not spray directly onto elbows, knees or feet. Let it dry. Massage in with a body lotion. I find that one coat gives a medium effect which lasts a few days. If you want that deep Californian tan build up a coat or two over a couple of days. I don't use this product on my face . You can, but I do not like to spray into my face and I find creams last longer on the facial area. Be careful not to spray it onto soft furnishings, stand on a towel or in an empty bath. I find with this one you can get dressed almost straight away which is great if you have a busy schedule. The time it takes to develop varies from person to person, but on me it takes about three hours. One big thing to remember is that it will not protect you from the sun so put on a sun factor before going out to show off your newly bronzed body; As far as I know this product is only available from QVC, on Sky television or the website qvcuk.com. I paid £24 for 2x200ml bottles. I still have a little left in the first bottle after using it all last summer.

This sounds like a really good product to try, especially for someone as pale and sun-phobic as me, but it's a shame it seems to be out of stock. This would confirm your good opinion of it though, so will look out for it in future... be easier if they sold it in Boots!

Sure. As far as I know its exclusive to QVC. Either sky telelvision or the website qvcukcom. It comes in various combinations but I bought it as 2x200ml bottles for £24.00.I used all last summer and I am still on the first bottle just. Just had a quick look at QVC web and it was out of stock though.
Advantages: Easy to apply, is coloured so you see where you are spraying Disadvantages: The colour of the bottle means it is difficult to tell how much you have left
