As far as tanning goes, I can usually get quite a good natural tan in the sun. However, none of us want to venture out with our milk bottle legs to get the first shade of the summer. It's embarrasing when you go on holiday and are whiter than everybody in the resort. I bought Eco Tan from a QVC outlet. This was good because I got the full set; two bottles of spray tan, shower gel, exfoliator and moisturiser for £12 instead of the £26 charged on TV. I was all hyped up to try this new spray tan idea and the results shown on TV were amazing, no streaks, even brown tan in 4-6 hours. Not so in my case. I followed the instructions to the letter. I used the shower gel and exfoliator first, then applied the spray tan, spraying it 12 inches away from my body. It seemed to spray evenly but 6 hours later I looked like I'd been attacked at a freckle factory, I had little browny orange dots everywhere. It took about 3 days and a good loofah to get rid of it and return me to my usual white self. Fool that I am, I decided it must have been that I'd done something wrong. Upon the advice of a friend I tried again. She told me that it actually works better if you rub it in. She also said to apply moisturiser to places where the spray usually collects such as knees and elbows. I must say that the results the second time round were much better but I still felt like I'd been tangoed. It may just have been that the colouring did not suit my skintone but I definetly looked orange rather than brown.
