I read a review on Ecotan in a magazine where it promised to be easy to apply with no messy hands, no streaks and a natural even colour. That did it, I ordered a bottle from QVC and waited eagerly for it to arrive. On the day that it arrived I applied it during my lunch hour from work. It was easy to apply as long as you followed the instructions and held the spray a good distance from your body as you were applying it. And due to the colour you could see exactly where you were spraying it. I went back to work with a hint of colour and the colour developed over the course of the day, the next day it being most noticiable with the girls at work commenting on how nice it looked, etc. Showed it to my cousin and she ordered a bottle, and so did a girl from her work.
How to Apply Simply shave, exfoliate and moisturise prior to application. I advise waiting an hour or so for your pores to close after this as it can be stingy if you've freshly shaved and I feel you get a better effect this way too. Then shake the bottle and hold the spray at arms length from the area and press the spray moving it over the area. Massage into your skin and wait until dry before getting dressed. The pump spray means that it is a continous spray and it can be sprayed upside down for those difficult to reach places such as the backs of your legs, your back. Remember to wash your hands after application otherwise they will be all streaky and stained.
The Colour A rich golden colour, which lasted on me for about a week. Of course you can apply it sparingly to start with and top it up on consecutive days.
Handy Hints Keep the spray at arms length to reduce the risk of streaks. Wash hands well after use, remembering to go under your nails. I tend to use babywipes as I find these work quite well. If you accidently get some on the bathroom radiator or bath and can't get it off, use some nail varnish remover. Do your whole body first then wash your hands and then spray the backs of your hands and rub the 2 together, remembering to go round the sides, etc. This should ensure a natural looking result on your hands. Practice makes perfect. Moisturise every day after application to ensure that your tan keeps better and your skin does not dry out.
