Ecover Dishwasher Tablets

...and I came across the Ecover brand. I was truly impressed! I am environment conscious and I was really happy and excited that there were products which completely agreed with me!

I moved in a new place and it has a dishwasher. I never owned a dishwasher before so I went to the shop and started looking at dishwasher products. As always there is a wide variety of products available on the market, but which provides good results?
I didn't know what was necessary so I read a few boxes, and I came across the Ecover brand. I was truly impressed! I am environment conscious and I was really happy and excited that there were products which completely agreed with me!

-Instructions for use
- Remove large food scraps from your dishes.
- Remove the wrapper from the tablet.
- Place the tablet into the dispenser.
- If the tablet does not fit into the dispenser place in the cutlery basket.
- One tablet will clean a machine load of normally dirty dishes!
- Run the machine as per the Manufacturer's instructions.
- Regularly check the Rinse Aid and salt.

My opinion and experience:
Not only this product is environment friendly, it also has a very attractive packaging and uses an appealing colour chart of white, blue and green. They use a plant/leaf on their box and it truly looks good.

What I really appreciate of this product is that everything is stated clearly, and it is ecological in every possible way:
- the carton is made of 95% recycled cardboard
- the plastic that protects the tablets from moisture is 100% recyclable
- Ecover make their product in their own ecological factory
- most ingredients are plant based

I like the fact that there is no residue of chemicals on my dishes, that it is not tested on animals and that it doesn't harm aquatic life.

Ecover provides clear instructions on how to use their dishwasher tablets and gives good advice on how to get optimum results, like using a rinse aid and salt. You might think it is a bit stupid on my part, but you will find that not product helps you get the most of your machine.

As for the results, I am really satisfied with the efficiency of Ecover dishwasher tablets. My dishes always come out clean, and my dishwasher doesn't smell. It is really easy to use, no dosing, no pouring on the side, no rests stuck in the dispenser.
A very good thing as well: the box contains 25 tablets so when I run out I know it is time to check the salt and replace it, as well as running a dishwasher cleaner !

Regarding the price, I don't remember exactly but I believe I paid less than £4. I think it is slightly more expensive than other brand as the box contains 25 tablets. But since it provides good results and is ecological, I would say it is a good value!

Echo on the recent events:
Recently newspapers had titles about the global warming.
I find it outrageous, that only now politics are raising the alarm, as if the problem wasn't already highly important and urgent before! From my point of view there aren't enough ecological products in our lives. Ecover proves that it is possible to produce more ecologically, especially household cleaning products, so why isn't everybody doing it already? For profit? Really? If it would have been done from the beginning we wouldn't be facing such tragic events in nature. According to me ecological production should be part of laws, and not just the small restrictions we have nowadays. And it should be applied to food and beverages too. Why should it be acceptable that we feed ourselves and our children with questionable food and ingredients such as colourings, sweeteners, preservatives and so on.
All this to say that Ecover is a smart company, and I hope I can also say an honest one. They work ecologically and provide harmless products for human being, animals and aquatic life.

To sum up:
- ecological in every way
- efficient: dishes are clean
- no smell in the dishwasher
- easy to use
- harmless for humans, animals and aquatic life
- slightly more expansive than other brands, but still a good value
- unfortunately can be hard to find as not available in every shop

In conclusion I hope that other people will appreciate Ecover products as much as I do.
