I discoveed this product recently rather by luck than judgement. My sister has ben going on at me for ages about trying 'Ecover' washing powder, so I went and bought a box from the local helath Food shop. When I opened the box at home, I realized that it contained a free packet of their 'Ecover' laundry bleach, so I decided, it's free, I'll give it a whirl. I can only say that I was really surprised with the results. The bleach can be used either in the wash or as a soak. I have tried both (depending on the stain) and found the results to be impressive. I can't use biological washing powders or stain removers as my daughter has eczema which is irritated by such products, so this is a very useful atlernative. My daughter (age 6) has white socks for school, which are not easy to keep wite, as many parents will appreciate. However, using the 'Ecover' laundry bleach in the wash has kept them white rather than a dull grey. My uniforms for work (I'm a nurse) are also white, not a very practical I hear you say but not my choice of colour, also get rather dirty and get some tough stains. I have used the laundry bleach to soak them and found that most stains are eaily removed - biro is rather resistant. What I find impressive is that this product contains only mineral ingredients (salt, limestone and oxygentated water) and is biodegradeable which is good for the environment. Because thre areno harsh ingredients it is also kind to the skin. All-in-all a thumbs up from me.
I tend to try and avoid doing the washing, and normally bung loads of stuff in together. I don't really have any whites, but if I did, then I suppose this would be quite useful. I'm a lazy student by the way, if you couldn't tell ;o)

Hi there! Welcome to Ciao! Good op but maybe you should run this it through a spell checker before you submit your work. By doing so, you will find you will score higher ratings. If you correct your work I'll glady re-rate. :-)

Welcome to Ciao! I can't use a biological powder either, so this is worth knowing about.
