Now let's be honest, is anyone actually bothered what brand/flavour etc. of washing up liquid we use to wash our dishes?
Well, come to think of it, yes I am , and in that case I'm sure some of you are too.
Call me snobby, but I don't like it when I run out and the only bottle left in my corner shop is 'Morning Fresh'. So, what do I use? Well for years I used TraditionalFairy Liquid, until I came across Ecover. I had been looking for an alternative because funnily enough, considering the 'Hands so Soft' advert, my hands were always so dry.

~~~Ecover The Washing Up Liquid~~~
The one that I buy is 1ltr, you can also buy 500ml .The bottle,lable and cap can all be recycled. The container is a creamy sheer plastic with a blue cap. On the front is a picture of a plant with the 'Ecover' name printed underneath in blue and green. The container is less firm that some others but still remains in the upright position, even when almost empty.
Ecover state that this product is 'naturally mild on your hands' probably why I purchased it in the first place. Although I do care about the enviroment, selfishly, at that time my hands had priority.

The liquid itself is clear to look at and has very little smell at all. Giving the impression of a natural product unlike rival companies bright reds and yellows etc.

I'm quite sure that no one ever needs to read these! But they do tell us that one squeeze is sufficient for a sink full of normally dirty dishes.
I am sure that is the case but unfortunately much to my partners dismay, I squeeze and squeeze, and produce lots and lots of bubbles.
We are also advised in this section to keep all cleaning products out of reach of children.

5-15% plant based anionic and non- ionic tensio-active surfactants. (whatever they are?) Other ingredients; water, milk whey, plant based fragrance, extracts of camomile and marigold, salt, citric acid and 100% biodegradable preservative. (Phew!)

I pay £1.58 for a 1 Litre bottle from Tesco's. I believe that more and more of the supermarkets are now stocking Ecover products, but I have had occasions when it was unavailable. Tesco's always has it and Morrison's rarely do. Obviously different areas will vary.

I like this product and have to say that it does make a difference which one you use. I like the fact that this washing up liquid doesn't leave a lingering smell on your dishes, I just want them clean, not scented. It does clean perfectly well , just as well as other leading brands. Take the dirty dishes from a family roast dinner- np problem for Ecover. The water doesn't become all greasy, it definately does the job. I am part of a family of four and therefore wash up quite a lot. Three to four times a day. This 1 Litre bottle lasts me two to three weeks and I am very generous with the squirts. I find it to be more gentle on my hands. It is also nice to know that I am helping the enviroment in some small way by buying this product, even if that wasn't my first intention.
I think that for a washing up liquid this one is both good quality and excellent value. You would be hard pushed to find better.

I bought this for the first time on Friday, actually. I won't buy Fairy, Morning Fresh etc because of who they're made by and the fact that they test on animals (boo-hiss-boo). Haven't tried it yet, but your review made me want to dirty some dishes especially! :)
