Wagon Wreck
Review of Fisher Price Peek a Block Wagon by newby2

Advantages: I got it free
Disadvantages: not very good

Fisher Price Peek-A-Blocks 2 in 1 Activity Wagon.... This was a hand me down from one of my friends for Jack and because her kids seemed to enjoy it so much I really thought Jack would too. Jack has a lot of the Peek A Blocks range of toys (some of which given by said friend) and he really enjoys playing with the blocks and using them with the different toys. The wagon itself is fairly large and after a brief look on the internet I found out that ...
...are plenty being sold as second hand and at a far more reasonable price. The Wagon comes with eight individual Peek a Blocks that are small plastic cubes with different things inside to look at or to shake, turn or just to look at. The blocks themselves are very hard wearing and because there are so many different toys in the Peek Block ranges, the blocks can be used with a multitude of other toys in the collection. We seem to have these blocks ... Read review

Duplo + Digger = Very happy Little Boy!
Review of Duplo Lego Digger by shivster1980

Advantages: teaches colour, imaginative play and fine motor skills, strong, durable, well made
Disadvantages: None

...old boy who is both Duplo and digger crazy. He has only recently become able to build independently with blocks and we thought we would add some interest to his set. Duplo is suitable for ages 2-5. The digger came in individual pieces to build together. We had the base wheels and treads then fixed the main rotating plate to the base. Then the cab. Finally we attached the digger arm which comes in 3 pieces. The set also comes with a builder, various ...
...with his digger and moving Duplo blocks and other things around the carpet. He has not taken it apart to build again just yet but that is another option as he grows. In the summer we hope to get the digger out into the sandpit for some 'on-site' construction! For older or more imaginative children (us included) you can add more blocks on to the actual digger itself. We have also built many garages to keep the digger in, as well as many building ... Did , dig digging all day long ,
Review of Duplo Lego Digger by mumsymary

Advantages: good toy
Disadvantages: none

Duplo Lego bricks are fantastic. Duplo bricks are a larger version of Lego bricks, they are plastic linking bricks. These bricks are suitable for babies 2 years upward to about 5 years old. These bricks can be used with the smaller Lego bricks some do interlock. Duplo is very safe and durable. Suitable for an individual child or a large group of children. Duplo bricks will last a generation, my grandchildren play with their mother's childhood set. ...
...them together creating wonderful buildings. Duplo bricks come in a standard brick to build with or there are shaped pieces to help construct bridges, train. Or in this case a digger Most children that I know are fascinated by real diggers building houses or working on the roads. With this Duplo digger they can imagine they are working digging up the road or making the house. There are 19 pieces for your budding builder to make his own digger, this ... Read review

VTech Dora the Explorer Laptop
Review of VTech Dora the Explorer Laptop by Violetdreams

Advantages: Educational
Disadvantages: None

This is a brilliant product. My children love theirs and no matter what they do it it, it lives on! Dora is a firm favourite in our house so you can imagine the amount of use this computer gets with 3 kids around. The computer is very educational as well as being a great source of entertainment for the kids. It has helped my kids with their numbers and their letters and keeps interest in learning very high. As well as learning, there are great educational ... Read review

Stack 'em Up High!
Review of Mega Bloks Pre-School Maxi Bag - Boys by newby2

Advantages: Cheap, So Many play ideas
Disadvantages: none

Mega Bloks…. After passing them by in Woolworth's so many times I thought it about time that I actually got these as they did look rather fun and Jack does not really have anything like them. They were reduced from £19.99 pence to £12.99 pence so I thought that now was a better time than any. These Mega Blocks are from ages one and over. This particular bag contains 90 separate pieces each ranging in size and amount of large chunky pins that each ...
...blocks! Not only do the Mega Bloks come in this age range but the older the child the smaller the bloks get and the more complex things that can be built with them. Of course I find myself thinking that once Jack reaches an age where Lego can be used (which I think is around 3 or 4) I would rather buy Lego than this brand as it is far more widely known and I do believe there are more items for offer in the Lego range. However, I can say that these ... Read review
