Ideal for children with Special Needs
Review of Early Learning Centre Electronic Activity Cube by
Vibrant
Advantages: Chunky pieces, very motivating
Disadvantages: Can't think of any
I work in a school with a child with learning and physical disabilities. I did not hesitate to order this product from the ELC catalogue (out of the schools special educational needs budget). The activity cube keeps the child busy for a long time, and I have to prise it out of the child's hands at the end of a free session. The lights and sound makes learning great fun and very motivating. The educational side of it is that with four shapes and four ... ...child's own pace. The child has a physical disability but with the chunky pieces the child can place the pieces with little or no help. The activity cube has easy grip handles and is a light weight product overall. The activity cube is easily carried around the class by the child. The activity cube also has a maze with beads to twist all over, great for fine motor skills. The activity cube is bright and colourful to catch the child's eye, and gives ...

Mini Masterchefs
Review of Early Learning Centre Crate of Vegetables by
piggypine
Advantages: Great for creative play
Disadvantages: Velcro sometimes comes loose
...of these toys is the Early Learning Centre Cut & Play Veg' set, yes I had play food when I was a little girl but not play food like this.
The ELC Cut & Play Veg' set is suitable for children aged 2-8 years, previously presented in a plastic shopping bag it now comes as crate of vegetables, no doubt encouraging the environmentally friendly side of our children, instilling such valuable lessons in them from a young age. The set consists of several ... ...an Early Learning Centre toy is only available from their stores and website. Other similar sets are available including peel able fruit and barbeque food. Check out the set here- http://www.elc.co.uk/toy-33556?&parentcategoryid=534 For a great quality toy that encourages imaginative and social play I can highly recommend this set. ...

Firefighting fun
Review of Lego Fire Station by
BecksterMas
Advantages: Everything!
Disadvantages: Nothing!
...its time for action! The Lego fire station is ready and waiting for the next emergency.
This Lego set is divided into sub models for easy building and play.
The truck's ladder extends to 15 inches. There is a hose that unwinds and all sorts of fire equipment, including a water sprayer that the Lego fire man can hold.
The set comes with 4 Lego fire men, each dressed as frie fighters and wearing a lovely protective helmet.
There is a central fire ... ...Your child will have hours of fun playing with this! Adults will too! It might get noisy, as your child is bound to make lots of siren noises. You can also use it to make up stories at bedtime, based around the fire station and the Lego fire fighters adventures. ...

Tipping great fun!
Review of Lego Classic Truck by
BecksterMas
Advantages: Its size
Disadvantages: None
...He uses it to transport Lego up and down our landing! He also uses it to transport small Lego vechicles and constructions.
Once built it is an impressive size, bigger than most Lego vehicles.
There are two containers and each one lifts as well as fixing to the base when necessary, e.g. when the truck is on the move. It is really good that they lift up, as it means your child can help it to tip its load. My son has hours of fun loading and unloading ... ...extra container attached, it is an impressive 50cm long- needless to say my sons friends were fighting over it when they came over.
The cab is large- it even has two windscreens. The included Lego man can fit inside the cab, enabling him to drive it.
Great fun! ...

Round and round
Review of Lego Construction: Cement Mixer by
BecksterMas
Advantages: Drum turns round
Disadvantages: None
...might know from my other Lego reviews( I sometimes think I must buy it for him because i love helping him build it!!)- I think this is one of the best. It looks very realistic- those people at Lego are very clever!
The cement mixer is a lovely eye catching blue colour- the stickers add to its look.
The drum turns round and round, allowing your child to mix up th included cement.
It comes with a Lego man, dressed as a builder, with a hat that can ... ...hose- the Lego man can hold this, enabling him to direct the cement where it is needed. The cement pieces don't actually come through the hose, but Lego is all about building and imagination!
The Lego man fits inside the cab, so he can drive to and from the building site. My son built him a house to live in with his other Lego- it really caught his imagination!
It measure 18cm long. I bought it for £12.99.
It really is a very smart vechicle- a ...
