Radio ga ga
Review of Leap Frog Phonics Radio by
indigo78
Advantages: Small and easy to carry around
Disadvantages: Basic
Leapfrog phonics radio Great for making phonics fun. Teaches letter sounds by singing catchy songs. Has volume control button and on and off button. You turn the pages to go through the different sounds of the alphabet. Not one of the best products out there but it's simple and catchy idea for pre- school age. How ever i did find that my son got easily bored with this item as there was not enough to keep him interested. One of the positives about ...

Get it Sorted!!
Review of Early Learning Centre Wooden Sorting Abacus by
carcraig
Advantages: Wooden, durable, no batteries, educational
Disadvantages: None (apart from the tidying-up!!)
...our girls. It's an Early Learning Centre toy. Now I am big fan of wooden toys, of toys that don't need batteries and of toys that do not make too much noise (there's enough noise in our house at the best of times…) - if they have an educational element then that is an added bonus. This toy ticked all the boxes.
The Toy
It's an all wooden toy consisting of a stand with five poles and fifty coloured sorting pieces.
The sorting pieces come ... ...are learning simple arithmetic.
Availability & Cost
From the Early Learning Centre - £8

I couldn't find this for sale second hand on either Ebay or Amazon
Summary
It's a good quality, wooden toy, with educational benefits. Recommended. ...

Funky shaped ice cubes!
Review of Lego Ice Bricks by
ivytoad
Advantages: Look fun, enviromentally friendly, easy to use
Disadvantages: none!
...cubes ever! I really like Lego and the idea of having Lego shaped ice cubes seemed wonderful.
I bought this from the Lego website for £3.99. I am not sure whether it is available in Lego shops in the high street, but I imagine it would be. If not it is available on the website, but you do have to remember that p&p costs are added on!
The tray comes in yellow and is made out of a rubbery material and each ice cube comes out shaped like a lego building ... ...the mold.
The ice cube tray makes 10 ice cubes (it has two rows of five blocks) These ice cubes are quite large, I would say they are about 5 cm long and 2 cm wide.
The ice cubes are really easy to get out of the mold. Since it is made of a rubbery material, the ice cube tray bends so you can almost turn each individual ice cube section inside out to remove the cube. I remember when we used to have the solid plastic ice cube trays that you had ...

Horsing around
Review of Lego In & Around Town: Horse Stables by
mumsymary
Advantages: Good play value
Disadvantages: None
Lego in and around the stables is a good addition to the Lego collection for a horse mad child. This Lego build is a Duplo Lego toy so it's suitable for a child aged 2 to 6 years old. This of course depends on your child maturity and often a younger and older child will enjoy this toy. Duplo Lego bricks are larger than a standard Lego they are compatible two 8 stud Lego bricks fit on a 4 stud Duplo brick.
This Duplo collection has a horse stable ... ...are some green basic duplo Lego bricks and a brown brick, the brown brick has a picture of apples on it I guess it's really a box containing apples for the horses. A water trough for the horses to drink from too. The prize cup for the winning horse is silver colored. Then there is the farm cat too a duple cat to watch the actions.
There are enough bricks here to make a good home stable for the horses your child practicing their fine and gross motor ...
