An egg-cellent toy!
Advantages: Educational, fun, unisex, batteries not required, affordable, good value for money Disadvantages: Box can be hard for youngsters to open, haven't seen them in many shops?
I brought the Tomy Hide 'n' Squeak Eggs as a present for my daughters first christmas. I came across them whilst looking around for a few little, affordable bits to go with her main presents - stocking fillers if you will! I brought the eggs from Amazon.co.uk for around £6.00. I'm not actually sure what offline shops sell them as I haven't seen them in shops but if you type 'Tomy Hide 'n' Squeak Eggs' into a search engine, there is a long list of ... ...all. The Tomy Hide 'n' Squeak Eggs are suitable for children 12 months onwards, although I can't imagine there are many hazards that come with this toy and think it would amuse children from 6 months onwards (don't listen to me though, I wouldn't want to be responsible for any accidents!). The eggs come in a durable, plastic, yellow egg box. This not only makes the eggs seem real to a child but is really handy for storing the eggs away - I always ...

Splashy the penguin a great bath toy.
Advantages: It hums row row the boat, swims across the bath and keeps your child entertained. Disadvantages: Sometimes the humming is difficult to hear if your child is splashing in the bath.
...our girls from the actual Tomy website which is www.tomy.co.uk you can buy it on there for £8.99. The penguin is suited for children 12 months and over. Splashy the penguin is very easy to use all you need to do is wind up the back of it up which is very easy to do. My girls often do this and there three years old. Then you lay him in the water if you lay him on his back in the water then he hums the song row row the boat and if you put him face ... ...water. While he is doing this his flippers are going round and he swims across the bath. You can also make him hum the song by jus pressing the little fin on his head. I think splashy the penguin creates great fun for your child whilst in the bath they will enjoy watching him swim around. I often find my girls singing along when he is humming. The penguin also works as a great distraction for when I'm washing my girls hair as they hate me doing this, ...

Quick, where's the emergency!!
Advantages: good fun! Disadvantages: none!
Tomy Pop to the Rescue is a rather cute and fun toy. It works very simply but has my daughters really amused and entertained for hours.
When you open the box you find a fire/police/ambulance station although this is not really obvious. There are three sorts of garages each housing a different coloured car - the green represents an ambulance, the blue a police car and the red a fire engine. These are really only symbolic though as they don't look ... ...about this by visiting the tomy website at www.tomy.co.uk
where it says that it's RRP is £18.99. I actually bought it through boots.com and took advantage of their pre Christmas three for two offer! The only other thing to say is that it requires two AA batteries, something we didn't realise at first so ours was a rather quiet emergency station! ...

Choo Choo - somebody switch that annoying toy off!
Advantages: Brightly coloured; nice idea Disadvantages: Very annoying and noisy
...day I came across the Tomy Choo Choo Loop in Argos and as I hadn’t bought my son any new toys for a while I thought I’d buy it for him. Well actually I quite liked the look of the toy wanted it to play with myself! Product Description Included in this toy is a small, battery operated train. This takes three ‘AAA’ batteries which are not included so don’t forget to buy some if you are giving this as a present! There are six brightly coloured ... ...together easily. One of the pieces of track has a loop running around it with coloured beads on it which I think is meant to represent a tunnel. There are two buffers which can be attached to any piece of track (more on the use of these later), and a sort of plastic arch which is apparently intended to be a station but looks more like a bus shelter to me! The clever thing about this toy is that although there are only six pieces of track, it can ...
