I'd researched the various online credit card providers and decieded that Egg gave the best deal for my particular circumstances (I'm a student so I just want the lowest apr and no annual fee). I'd read horror stories about people waiting for months for their card but then again I'd read those kind of stories about all the online banks. Applying for an Egg credit card was relatively painless - I just filled in the forms on their web site and and a minute or so later after they checked my credit reference I was accepted. One and half weeks later the direct debit forms came through the post. I filled them in, posted them back and two weeks later my credit card popped throught the letter box.
There are a couple of things about this credit card that I think are great. Buying through their online shopping zone (which jsut redirects to established online retailers) gives me two percent cash back. All the cass-back I've had has appeared clearly stated on my online account statements. I've changed my repayment methods several times from their web site with no trouble at all. Egg have taken debit payments from me on the days I have specified so I've had no trouble in that respect. The only thing that I'm not over the moon about is that talking to them on the phone costs two pounds a time!!
All told, I've had no trouble applying for or using my Egg card so I would recommend this product.
