I use Egg for buying my shares as they have the cheapest rate I have found at a flat £9.50. They site is very easy to use and with it being underpinned by the Prudential you feel safe that it isn't going to suddenly dissappear with you share certificates with them.

The site can be unreliable which is a shame but if you want a cheap way to buy shares then this is the best option. You can open an account with them and transfer money really easily and then just click on buy and BOOM there yours.
Good site but at the end of the day it is the cheapest!
