Good ISP

Advantages Great service, customer support actually works.
Disadvantages Frequent users will accumulate large phone bills.
I was originally with Freeserve but they cut off my original account for no reason and my second account showed me how slow and unreliable their connection was, coupled with the awful customer service via email. (they are much better connectionwise now).
I changed to Eidosnet when they started, in 1997 I think. I joined up with this ISP as I had respect for Eidos as a British games publisher, expecting gaming performance to be good and the email address was pretty cool too.
Well, I'm still using it today so it shows that I'm happy with the service. The games performance may not be as good as some other services but it's not too bad either. I always have first time connections at around 450000 or even higher. The reason for this is that it is a pretty small service with probably fewer subscribers than the major services, thus decereasing the chances of any clogging up of their main servers. My email has never messed up and it's always been easy to reconnect when I've formatted my hard drive.
I highly recommend this ISP to everyone, it gives first class service and customer support is surprisingly good for a free service, even with a newsgroup forum to air views and ask for help.
The only gripe for me is that I spend a lot of time online and I end up accumulating very large phone bills, this means that I am considering switching to one of the unmetered services soon. Hopefully Eidosnet will follow suit.
