playing game. It's a direct port of the PC version and truly shows off the power of the Xbox. You can do virtually anything you want: there is a main quest but also hundreds of side quests (over 350 of them) and the game is completely non-linear. You can be a hero, a villain, a pilgrim, a saint or even a vampire. You name it, and chances are you can be it. There are also no geographical constraints; you can wander where you want, when you want. The amount of control you have in Morrowind is stunning. When you create a character, you can either choose pre-made classes, have one assigned to you depending on how you answer a questionnaire or create your own class. Morrowind's magic system is great--not only do you have seven schools of magic (Conjuration, Illusion, Destruction, Restoration, Mysticism, Alternation, Enchant), but you also have an Alchemy system, from which you can create potions from ingredients you can either buy or find in the wild. In addition, you can even trap the souls of enemies you kill and bind them into items to create a magic artefact. Another boon to this game is the thieving system. You can pick locks, disarm traps, pick pockets, learn acrobatics, taunt, insult or intimidate others, or haggle for better deals in the market. The game itself is gorgeous. The graphics, sounds, frame-rate: all smooth as silk. You can spend hours just looking at all the outlandish scenery, picking the flowers (literally). The musical score is rousing and never gets tired. All the different creatures and people have their own voices and sounds. This is a game that makes anything but high-end computers cry and it works on the Xbox without a hitch. Morrowind is a PC-style RPG for a PC-style console. This game is reason enough to buy an Xbox, and will have hard-core RPG fans singing its praises for years to come. --Bryan Karsh Amazon.com
Advantages: huge and beautiful environment, lots of quests, characters and stories, sounds and music Disadvantages: Oblivion is already released, characters could have looked better
...the third game of the Elder Scrolls series, but I got to play this one after the fourth one, Oblivion. But still Morrowind was another great experience for me as it just one step behind Oblivion in all aspects. This one is another great work from Bethesda Softworks and it is undoubtedly an incredible experience. This one is another huge Role Playing Game with a huge world to explore. The sequel to Daggerfall of 1996 has undergone a huge transformation ... ...below the fourth of the Elder Scrolls series. This is your opportunity to go on an epic quest travelling through big cities, remote villages, dangerous forests, hidden caves and fight the monsters who look better than ever. The best thing is that, even after having all these features, the game is quite simple :-)

ELDER SCROLLS HISTORY
=
Incase you are wondering, Morrowind is the third installment of what’s known as the Elder Scrolls series developed by Bethesda Softworks. Ten years prior to this award winning PC and Xbox game Bethesda created Arena, an RPG unlike any other which set the standard for modern day role playing games. After Arena was shipped Bethesda began work on their follow up; Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall. ... ...also the first and only Elder Scrolls game to offer multiplayer deathmatch. At the same time as Battlespire another game was developed called Redguard. And like Battlespire, this was never really classed as a new game in the Elder Scrolls series. This was classed under the title The Elder Scrolls Adventures and was exactly that. An adventure game that allowed for interaction with NPC’s (Non-Playable Characters) and puzzles to help solve the storyline. ...

Advantages: A great game Disadvantages: Too addictive?
...this HIGHLY addicitve game.
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is the third title in the Elder Scrolls Series(well durrr). It is a first person RPG (Role Playing Game). By that I mean you see
through the eyes of your character as you play the game (although you can switch to a pretty useless extrenal view). So what't the premise I hear you cry? Basically, you begin the game on a ship that's just docked at a little town called Seyda Neen. Here you disembark ... ...various factions as you go.
The really great part about Morrowind is that it is trully open ended. You don't feel as if you are straight-jacketed into the main storyline (which
I don't want to say too much about, obviously!). You are entirely free to explore Morrowind and act as you please. Fancy hacking up an innocent peasant - go right ahead, but don't expect the local guards to turn a blind eye! I'll go into the immense freedom Morrowind allows ...

Advantages: Great game to lose your self in! Disadvantages: Play too much, you lose sense of reality !
Morrowind has such a vast amount of wilderness to explore, the game play in my eyes is never ending, personally I still haven't explored the whole region, I have had the game for over two years playing on and off and there is still large quantities of the continent yet to be discovered. Mountains, swamps, meadows, woodland, grasslands, jungles, all the tiny islands that surround the main continent. The fun of exploring the wilderness however lye's ... ...explored and plundered of all their wealth. This is how you come to acquire gold for new weapons and spells. Off course it isn't that easy, you usually have to fight through bandits or legions of undead to get to the treasure, but then there's the problem of how your going to get all this stuff back to the merchants to sell when you can only afford to carry so much more, and heck the heavy armour you might be wearing could weigh tons! The land of ...

“The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is an epic, open-ended single-player game where you create and play any kind of character you can imagine. Be the noble hero embarking on an epic quest, or an insidious thief rising to leadership of his guild. Be a malevolent sorcerer developing the ultimate spell of destruction, or a reverent healer searching for the cure to a plague. Your actions define your character, and your ...
