Dreamland or Nightmareland?
Review of Dreamland Heatpad by dahlin

Advantages: Stops my feet from freezing
Disadvantages: Poorly designed, 1st 2 heat settings are pointless, doesn't get very warm at all

The Product The Dreamland Heatpad, made by the well-known electric blanket manufacturers, can be picked up for around £15 from various department stores and electrical shops, as well as online stores such as amazon. I believe mine was bought from Argos, where it's currently selling for £15.98. Why I Bought It Well, technically, I didn't. I actually received it as a gift, but before you start thinking how disappointed you'd be to receive this as ...
...only reason I chose the Dreamland over other brands was that it was the cheapest. Packaging The product comes packaged in a white box with a picture of the product and brief descriptions of the features on it. Inside the box, the product is protected by a cellophane bag, and comes along with an instruction leaflet. Features In case anyone is wondering what a heatpad actually looks like, it's basically like a mini electric blanket. This model ... Read review

...Asda,he picked up a double SilentNight Comfort Control Electric Blanket for 15.00p. I didnt buy one myself, not because I doubted SilentNights quality, but because I doubted that for that price that it would warm up sufficiently and warm up in a quick enough time. However I was extremely wrong and due to my pickiness,my Dad spent a night in a toasty bed and I spent one back with my old friend, 'The Hot Water Bottle'! I didnt go back to Asda, till ...

Snug as a bug in an electric rug...
Review of Dreamland Electric Blanket by Maestrolover

Advantages: No more cold feet, arms, legs, back...
Disadvantages: You'll want to stay in bed all day!

...other alternative as recommended by Dreamland is to turn the dial setting down to about 1-3 and switch to continuous heating if you want the blanket on all night. However, I have tried this (I have a 12 tog duvet) and found that I got too hot. But that's not so say that the elderly or those who feel the cold more might find this a useful setting. You are NOT recommended to have the blanket on at a higher setting than 3 all night. My experiments have ...
...generated from the blanket does seem to be retained very well by the bed long after the blanket has actually been switched off. I think this especially makes it a good economic option in comparison to having central heating on all night... Additional functions/advantages on this product: 1. Machine washable, suitable for tumble drying. Having only had it a few weeks, I've not tried this yet, but it certainly seems a seriously good plus to have. ... Read review

Snuggle up.
Review of Winterwarm Heated Under Single by smcccc

Advantages: Heats up quickly.
Disadvantages: None.

I bought my Winterwarm (Morphy Richards) Heated single Under Blanket about 2 years ago for the single bed in my spare room, and although the blanket was bought for when friends and family stay over, I did use it myself last winter when my double bed blanket decided to konk out. The blanket measures 122 x 61cm or 48 x 24in and is the sponge clean only version, it comes in an off white colour and is made from a tight knit man made material which is ...
...very easy to fit and when laid flat on the bed you will find attached to the sides are the power cord and control, and the ties, The ties are used to secure the blanket to the bed which is simple enough to do . I use my blanket directly on the mattress and then have a fleece mattress protector on top and then a flannel sheet and with all that padding I can't feel the electric blanket at all only the warmth. The heat control is simple to use and ... Read review
