slice it thin
Advantages: great knife Disadvantages: none
I treated my self to this carving knife for my birthday at the begining of this year as i had had enough of always struggling to cut up joints of beef into managable slices and thought it would be realy useful to cut the bread from my bread maker instead of me hacking away at it and making a right mess.
Since getting this knife i couldnt imagine life without it, it is small enough to store away easily although mine never stays away long.
It makes ... ...and gets me nice thin slices of beef very easily, it is great for cutting the bread as its even cutting motion makes the bread not end up with lumps missing out of it like it does when i calv it by hand.
Although it makes light work of carving up the chicken i prefer not to use it as it also goes through the chicken bones very easily and i have found that sometimes i get slivers of bone in my meat.
It is easy to hold and get a good grip of so no ...

The sharpest knife in the draw
Advantages: cuts very thinly and evenly Disadvantages: carving style takes a while to get used to
...manner remains.
The Breville EK2 isnt my first electric carving knife; its a replacement for an old Russell Hobbs that had to be retired due to safety reasons. It was getting on in years and the safety cutout no longer worked, plus it was possible to start up the cutting blades of a plugged in knife merely by squeezing the knife casing.

Great utensil
Advantages: easy to use Disadvantages: none
I must say that I bought this product awhile back and have no compliants. The knife is compact with two nice serated blades that slice evenly, its quick and convinent to use especially when you have no time to start to slice a roast or bird with an ordinary knife it does it in seconds for you, so you can get on with preparing other things. The great thing about it is that you can slice as thick or as thin as you want with no waste on your meat.

DESIGN/APPEARANCE:
It is made from ABS plastic and the main part is white and it has a grey strip along the top of the handle. The button is also in grey. The appliance is very lightweight and so simple to use. It is classed as a multi purpose knife as you can cut through bread meat and poultry and even frozen foods. It comes with an extra set of ... ...the blades are made from ultra sharp stainless steel and are dishwasher safe. Beleive me these blades are very sharp indeed, so you must handle them with grweat care.
OPERATION:
The knife is supplied with a plug and is 100 watts, so you just plug it in to the mains. The blades are very easy to attach as they just push in and it has a quick release button to remove them. You do get a slight vibration in your hand, but is nothing to worry about. ...
