Braun Epilator
Review of Braun 7681 Xpressive by Troublesome_Tempest

Advantages: Lots of accessories, good instructions, excellent range of features
Disadvantages: none specific to the product itself, several to the process of epilating

...the pain level of the Braun vs any other epilator as I really don't get much pain from the process anymore. At first it does hurt when you use it, but in my experience your skin gets accustomed, your hair roots get weaker, and the whole process gets quicker and easier. Quite a few of my hairs on my legs just don't grow in anymore. I do find my Braun to be much more efficent than my previous model, which I believe was a Remington. The Braun gets ...
...This series of the Braun epilator also has a light on the body to illuminate the skin its about to pass over. As the hairs on your body get finer due to the epilating, they get harder to see from certain angles without good light. The LED on the Braun shows up the fine hairs that would be easy to miss without a close up light. It also comes with two epilating heads, the standard and the precision, as well as three caps, two for the standard and ... Read review

Braun 360 Complete 8985
Review of Braun 8985 360° Complete System by allansmith0314

Advantages: Closest electric shave yet, self cleaning
Disadvantages: Still not as good as a wet shave

The best electric shaver I have used to date. I generally have a wet shave once a week and electric shave for rest of week due to easily irritable skin. This gives the closest electric shave I have experienced to date, although it is not brilliant around the throat and adams apple area and requires several attempts, but that has been the same with every other shaver I have used. I particularly like the 'docking station' which charges and cleans ...
...is sufficient for charge and it is always very clean after the cleaning cycle. This alone saves me hours of dismantling and careful cleaning as with others I have previously used. Each cleaning fluid container lasts several months at this usage and are relatively cheap to replace, about £8 I think I paid. I have been using it for 7 months now and have seen no deterioration in quality of shave. It comes with the recharging / cleaning station and ... Read review

Best shaver I've ever used!
Review of Braun 7785 Syncro PRO System by mynameisrui

Advantages: Close shave, self cleaning
Disadvantages: Need to buy refil cartridges

The Braun Synchro 7785 is a wonderful bit of technology! Personally, I was never a big fan of electric shavers. I've had a few in the past and have never found it to be as close a shave as a manual shave but the Braun changes everything. I have found it to be just as close as a manual razor and much easier to keep clean. Granted the whole thing is actually very expensive but, for me, its well worth it. Basically the way it works is that you shave ...
...the razor and charges it if necessary. The razor itself has twin foils and the head moves 4 way which is supposed to help you get as close a shave as possible. It also comes with a middle trimmer. There are two settings on the razor. One fixes the head in place so that you can get the areas like around your nose. The other setting uses the head movements to get a close shave. In terms of the closeness of the shave, it is easily on par with the ... Read review

Rubbish!!!!
Review of Philips HP 6328 SOFT Select by Curlyshab

Advantages: Rechargable battery
Disadvantages: None

I was given this as a Christmas present in 2007 from my husband as I really wanted a new one and it is absolutely rubbish! I now have to go buy another one, going to do reviews before I buy the next one. It does not work, no matter what setting I put it on none of my hairs are cut. I was told this one was the best, but it is not. I have tired using it on a number of occasions but keep having the same result. I would advise everyone not to buy this ... Read review

Little pain, big gain!
Review of Braun 5185 SILK-ÉPIL X'elle SOLO EASY Sta by bamamo

Advantages: Cost effective, long-lasting results, relatively quick
Disadvantages: Some pain, noisy!

When the summer rolls around I tend to have a dabble with waxing, hair removal creams etc but, unsuccessful, resort to shaving. But I hate stubble! This year, I decided to try out an epilator. AN EPI-WHAT? An epilator is an electrical appliance with several rows of tweezers which pluck out hairs from the root, giving a similar long-lasting smooth effect to waxing without having to shell out on home kits or going to a salon. Like waxing, it's not ...
...main factor people consider when choosing an epilator is the level of pain, so it's unsurprising that most of the differences in products revolve around this. Most units I saw had some kind of a cover for beginners, or ice packs to make the process more comfortable. So, since they're all so similar I opted for Braun, which appears to be the leader in the field with several products for sale in Argos alone, where I purchased my Silk epil Xelle Solo ...
