Easy and cheap cut at home
Advantages: even easy cut, good value for money Disadvantages: none to report yet
...always reccomend something from the babyliss range - call me a sucker for brands but I have never had a problem with the make when buying products before. The overall appearance isn't the typical appearance to clippers, at least not ones I've seen before but just like it says on the tin my partner found them easy to use and hold. Straight from the box the clippers use "Unique circular blade technology for multi directional cutting" which seem to ... ...the cut a nice and even appearance. The product is rechargable and comes with the mains equipment for corded use or uncorded, whichever you prefer! The results look very proffessional and the price really isn't that bad, in the long run, a couple of hair dressers/barbers chops would do the same job for the same price so it's a bargain really. Included in the package is a battery operated trimmer for all the facial hair, side burns and neckline aswell ...

The perfect aid for the designer stubble look
Advantages: Good battery life, LCD display Disadvantages: 16 hour first charge
I bought the Babyliss I-Trim stubble a few months ago (June '09), having been through several electric shavers but being disappoiinted with all of them. -With previoius trimmers and shavers they've either cut me or irritated my skin, which has defeated the object seeing as i went down the electric route in the first place because a wet shave used to leave me with inflamed and irrated skin. The Babyliss 7855U I-TRIM Stubble has been excellent, it ...

Worse shaver I ever had
Advantages: none Disadvantages: Poor battery life, gaurd doesnt work, cuts your face
I had been looking for a descent shaver so I could have a more stubble look. I thought this was perfect but..
The guard is no good as it doesnt cover the blade. The way the guard goes up u have to hold it perfectly otherwise the length will be wrong.
You will 100% cut your neck line when using this. U cant shave downwards, its like a razor blade. The battery life is so short, and once the battery is about half way full the power of the motor goes ... ...in.. I was so fed up I thought maybe it was me or I have dodgy skin. I asked my barber and he said throw that rubbish away and get a Wahl trimmer. It cost me £50 but I couldnt be happier, I actually look forward to having a shave now.. ...

Its no wonder Remington don't give you your money back any more..
Advantages: Light, gives a good shave Disadvantages: Takes a long time to achieve the good shave it is capable of.
...a comparison with my previous Remington shaver - a Microscreen 2. I have actually had two Microscreen 2's over a period of about 7 years (the batteries seem to last 3 years or so) and as I have been very happy with these naturally replaced the last shaver with the equivalent current model. I am writing this review after shaving with the FF-500 every day for 2 months so I feel I can be pretty fair in what I write. If you already have a Microscreen ... ...easily. This could be why Remington have included the long hair trimmer between the foils. As with the Microscreen 2 you can extend the side long hair trimmer to work with the foils but this is much more awkward in the FF-500. The trimmer also has very sharp corners and stands well out from the body of the shaver so you can nick yourself, something I never managed to do before with an electric shaver. On the other hand the long hair trimmer is an ...

Worth the pain - Braun Silk-Epil X'elle
Advantages: Effective and long lasting Disadvantages: Painful!
For some reason, despite being blonde and fairly dainty in other respects, I've been cursed with leg hair that belongs to someone else - someone like my big grizzly bear of a boyfriend! It grows so fast that I usually have to shave my legs every day in the summer, which is a right pain. I've tried hair removal creams and found it just took longer, smelt horrible and didn't last any better, and waxing which brought me out in nasty bumps and didn't ... ...give this a try as I had nothing to lose other than the 50 quid it cost me from Argos (although it's probably available cheaper online), and I've probably spent that loads of times over on razors and shaving foam... I was drawn in by the promise of smooth legs for 4 weeks - too good to be true?... The Silk-Epil looks rather pretty and is definitely designed to appeal to girls, with its tasteful pastel colours and smooth lines. As gadgets go it looks ...
