Review of Remington R 330 by CarlG

Advantages: Good Shave, Titianiam Blades, Well Priced
Disadvantages: None

...little while ago my trusty Remington R950 broke after about 5 years of use and abuse. As I was more than please with that I set about looking for a replacement with the main criteria being that 1) it had to be a Remington and 2) it had to be reasobaly priced. After a little a opted for the R330 for £49.99 The R330 is a has triple floating heads under which are titanium blades, having had these on my previous Remington I can testify that they do ...
...the push button type (rather than a slider) next to which is a power light. At the back there is a beard trimmer which pops out when the firm slider is push upwards. When used the R330 performs well, it is about average weight but is noticably quieter in use than my last one. The shave it gives is very good with the 3 independant floating (pivoting) heads adjusting the facial contours well, I even use it on my head as sadly I don't have much hair ... Read review

It looks great but does it shave great?
Review of Remington MS 5700 Microscreen Titanium Ultra by si.dodds

Advantages: It looks great and it feels great
Disadvantages: Sometimes misses hairs

...decided to go for the Remington MS 5700. When you first get the MS 5700 out of the box it looks like a pretty impressive shaver, it feels very nice to hold and you can see there has been a lot of time spent in the shape and design of the shaver making it easier to use. I have always gone with Phillips in the past for shavers as i have believed they give the closest cuts, so going to new style of shaver was leap of faith if you will. The "unique 2 ...
...from there website is a good design, it feels great on the skin and up to now i haven't had any shaving rashes as i had been getting with my Phillips. Though this doesn't mean you won't get a shaving rash for the first few times you use it, as they warn in the hand book which comes with the shaver. Although there is no shaving rashes and it feels great on the skin, i can't help feeling the shave isn't as close as a Phillips. The shaver always seems ... Read review

Reliable and comfortable trimming
Review of Remington MB 42 Ceramic by rhuaridh

Advantages: Ceramic blades, variable cutting length, rechargeable cordless use, pop-up precision trimmer.
Disadvantages: Recharging cord does not plug into bathroom shaving socket.

I spent a long time looking for a beard trimmer that would be easy to use, reliable, and offer a variety of services...this product ticks all the boxes! It has 9 pre-set lengths (1.5mm to 18mm) of cutting, easily adjusted by a locking zoom-wheel, so you can achieve anything from designer stubble, to a thick but well-kept and tidy beard. It is also the only product of its kind to use ceramic rather than steel blades. This means you never need to ...
...rechargeable battery, so you don't need to have it plugged in whilst shaving. I have found the charge lasts for about 30-40 minutes, but it does have an early-warning low battery indicator light on the unit, so you have ample warning when you're about to run out of juice. The product only comes with a mains rechargeable cord, which of course means you can't charge it in your bathroom using a shaver socket. Other useful things built into the product ... Read review

Excellent shave RUINED by design flaws
Review of Remington F 510 F5 Titanium by imagia

Advantages: Great clean shave, quick charge time, funky colours
Disadvantages: Design and position of on/off button is infuriating!

...used to have an old Remington shaver and since that lasted about 4 years before it finally gave up the ghost, I decided to go for another. I plumped for the F510 F5 because it was on special offer at Amazon, so I got it for £29.99! Extra features for no extra cost were a big lure I have to say! Normally the Titanium series shavers come in at over £60, which would be a bit much on my budget. But let's see what you get for the extra money. The main ...
...talk about the "intercept trimmer". Remington have positioned this so that it cuts away the longer hair before the foil gets to work. In my experience you always need to go back, even with these special features. While this trimmer does get some hairs out of the way before the foil, it doesn't shift nearly enough of them to make much difference. The thing is, it's quite tricky to keep it at the right angle when you're concentrating on the foil too, ... Read review

Best shaver I've ever used!
Review of Braun 7785 Syncro PRO System by mynameisrui

Advantages: Close shave, self cleaning
Disadvantages: Need to buy refil cartridges

The Braun Synchro 7785 is a wonderful bit of technology! Personally, I was never a big fan of electric shavers. I've had a few in the past and have never found it to be as close a shave as a manual shave but the Braun changes everything. I have found it to be just as close as a manual razor and much easier to keep clean. Granted the whole thing is actually very expensive but, for me, its well worth it. Basically the way it works is that you shave ...
...the razor and charges it if necessary. The razor itself has twin foils and the head moves 4 way which is supposed to help you get as close a shave as possible. It also comes with a middle trimmer. There are two settings on the razor. One fixes the head in place so that you can get the areas like around your nose. The other setting uses the head movements to get a close shave. In terms of the closeness of the shave, it is easily on par with the ... Read review
