Review of Philips HS 8020 COOL SKIN by jamesf75

Advantages: Convenience, comfort
Disadvantages: Still difficult to get as close as a wet shave but comes a VERY close second

...Fusion and although I do go back to my own ways every now and then I find the convenience of the Philips is more than adequate for my daily pre-work pampering. A great buy, don't be put off by the cost,it pays for itself in the time it saves you. ... Read review

Review of Philips RQ 1095 Arcitec by gery

Advantages: design, lightness, the closest shave possible
Disadvantages: no compact travel case

I've been a life long philishave user and just when I thought it would be impossible to make something better, they did! As a lover of gadgets which actually work, this is fantastic and it also has the advantage of being visually stunning (like a work of techno art). It is also a tactile delight - shaving is now actually fun and the result is the best and closest shave I've ever had (including multiple blade wet razors) so much so that I'm constantly ... Cracking shave & a great tip included..save £!
Review of Philips HQ 7782 COOL SKIN by alanbishop

Advantages: The best wet shaver I have ever used...period
Disadvantages: Honestly...absolutely none

I have had this shaver for 3 years now and not once have i need to sharpen the blades on the rotors... Forget about buying the very expensive creams that you put inside to make it shave closer...you really do not need them. In fact it will shave with any product used for traditional razor shaving! It really is much better ...
...water for about 30 seconds prior to use and it shaves like a dream. The price tag is initially high and for an average male shaver (one shave per day) I have saved literally hundreds of pounds in blades (and not the expensive blades either!) It does not nick or cut your skin, does not give rash or white lump spots. Does not pull or stretch hairs either. I can still get a good 2.5-3 weeks shave without having to recharge in between. Its light and ... Read review

Great Razor, bargain price too
Review of Philips HQ8150 Speed-XL by HuwBach

Advantages: Light, great shave, holds charge well
Disadvantages: Expensive to run if not looked after

I picked up one of the is the reduced section of a Boots Store: the store had had a refit and they were getting rid of loads of goodies. The usual price in Boots is about £100; I got it for £37. Considering each head costs about £12, this is great value. Those of you who like reviews to be really long lists of technical info, please look at the phillips site: I won't be copying it all here. Please don't knock the review just for that. http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/h/hq815016/hq815016psseng.pdf ...
...ten years. They've both been very reliable, though both have started to be poor at holding their charge. Batteries can't be expected to last for ever, so I suppose 10 years seems very good. Compared with the older models, this new one is much lighter and easier to handle. It's also a trendy, blue colour: looks a lot smarter than the black ones I used to have. Higher range models have a more sophisticated light display which tell you how many minutes ... Read review
