Braun Epilator
Review of Braun 7681 Xpressive by
Troublesome_Tempest
Advantages: Lots of accessories, good instructions, excellent range of features
Disadvantages: none specific to the product itself, several to the process of epilating
...the pain level of the Braun vs any other epilator as I really don't get much pain from the process anymore. At first it does hurt when you use it, but in my experience your skin gets accustomed, your hair roots get weaker, and the whole process gets quicker and easier. Quite a few of my hairs on my legs just don't grow in anymore.
I do find my Braun to be much more efficent than my previous model, which I believe was a Remington. The Braun gets ... ...This series of the Braun epilator also has a light on the body to illuminate the skin its about to pass over. As the hairs on your body get finer due to the epilating, they get harder to see from certain angles without good light. The LED on the Braun shows up the fine hairs that would be easy to miss without a close up light.
It also comes with two epilating heads, the standard and the precision, as well as three caps, two for the standard and ...

Philips QT4045 beard trimmer
Review of Philips QT 4045 Vacuum Power by
the_didge
Advantages: Different length settings and built in vacuum cleaner.
Disadvantages: Does not vacuum up all hair clippings.
...so it does still require some cleaning up afterwards. The battery life has so far been very good and does not require constant or frequent charging. The Philips QT4045 has been the most reliable beard trimmer that I have tried and I would definitely recommend it to others. ...

Philips Electric Shaver
Review of Philips HS 8020 COOL SKIN by
lustba
Advantages: Built In Conditioner, quiet, stylish, effective
Disadvantages: Bit of a hassle to clean
...razor and shaving foam. The Philips shaver eliminates the need for shaving foam, which i always found an annoyance.
I think that the reason for the closeness is the fact that each of the heads vibrates/girates and moves independantly, meaning that they can move accordingly to each person's individual features. Moving around the jaw bone and cheek bones, means that it gets alot closer to the skin. A normal razor can only tilt backwards and forwards, ... ...made all the difference in my opinion. It even made the much harder places to reach like the neck, below the jaw line and around the Adams Apple. Once again, because of the swivel and pivot, it was alot easier to get closer to the skin. Though i must admit, i ended up with quite a sore neck afterwards. I don't know it this was down to me, or the shaver. I probably either pressed too hard, or didn't put enough conditioner on.
The conditioner feature ...

Good for sensitive skin.
Review of Philips HS 8060 COOL SKIN by
jonny_pb
Advantages: Easy clean. Close shave. Use in shower. Good battery life. Built-in Nivea dispenser
Disadvantages: Doesn't catch all stubble straight away
...and because I trust the Philips brand. I also liked that it was very easy to clean: you just have to run it under a tap, whereas other razors are a bit more tricky. It also looks quite sporty and can be used in the shower as it's completely waterproof.
The first use was brilliant. It was clean and so much closer than I imagined it would be. It almost felt closer than a wet shave. Subsequent shaves have slowed down a bit and I find that I have to ... ...to get rid of all the stubble. Consequently I find that shaving with this takes me longer than a manual shave. I find this a little annoying but I'm sticking with it for now.
At the end of the shave, I end up with a close shave and my skin feels a lot more protected since several layers have not been taken off, as they are with a manual razor. However, because I have to keep going over the same areas of skin to get rid of all the stubble (it doesn't ...
