The Philips Arcitec is a very good shaver but two niggles Advantages: an excellent shave Disadvantages: very minor At first sight this shaver looks somewhat gimicky. It does, however, give an excellent shave. The best shaver I have ever used on my neck with no sign of the soreness associated with some other shavers. It is not as quiet as my last shaver but the noise is not intrusive. It is easy in the hand and does really follow the curves in your face. Now for a couple of niggles. Advice on reviews Advantages: Scaning wand probably useful if used correctly Disadvantages: Single hair teatment probably works but will be hard, determined work Hello, I have been reading these reviews as I am considering this product. Firstly, there are 2 different products listed as the same here, the single hair, and the scaning wand. As an ex-laser therapist (SLP1000, 4yrs) I would never even think of treating a single hair root- this is a silly idea even for a professional. Also, as this product is "safe" for untrained consumers, it is a very very low wattage,compared with "real" lasers at 40W per pulse. ... Is It Really Worth It? Advantages: Pain factor is low. Disadvantages: Takes a while to work. Results aren't mindblowing. Fiddly to use. None of these gadgets actually work perfectly because if they did, then I don’t think prices to get it done by professionals would be so high nor would so many people go to them! Saying that, after a while of constant use you see a difference but only in people who have very fine hair. If your hair is coarse and thick, you’re better off investing your money in professional treatment. I bought this item from comet but i have seen it on amazon slightly cheaper. just over a 2 months ago, after seeing it on television advertised i thought for the price it was worth a try, since i have had it i have used it everyday ... ...but the it always give me a clear crisp shave, also the battery life is very very good my only negative coment would be that its build quality around the roatary head could be better but for the price i am and will continue to be very happy!
