My Comet purchase Advantages: the price is reasonable and the design looks good Disadvantages: This DVD Recorder is very difficcult to use, the manual is very inadequate. Visiting a Comet store is almost as exiting as visiting a funer al parlour. The staff walk around like zombies, sometimes they stop chatting to each other and ask "can I help you?" but their bored expression doesn't invite any dialogue. Their attitude is very anti customer, but wait, DON'T BUY ANYTHING, if it proves to be faulty you will really have a battle to gain any kind of satisfaction. I guess these poor people are paid peanuts, let's face ... ...Recorder met the manufacturers specification, Comet gave me the run around, re-directing me to other departments, who re-directed me yet again. I rang Samsung and they described the problem as a 'feature' of this model. My question, if I can't see the display, I can't use the DVD was ignored by Comet and Samsung. ... Argos on-line is a joke Advantages: local and you can get same day Disadvantages: no stock and feeble excuses I think Argos on-line is the worst site I have visited every time I want to purchase or reserve in-store all the things I select are out of stock emailed them and a feeble excuse was sorry but they sell their products very fast funny that they have just gone on sale that morning, I am wondering if they put certain items on the site that they don't actually have then surround them with other items which cost more so mugs like me purchase these,I have ... Stay Away! Thats my advise to you! Advantages: none waste of time Disadvantages: the whole thing Bought a laptop and the cover when it went got damaged accidently they have done everything not to pay out. A WASTE of money! STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS, THEY ARE JUST OUT THERE TO SCAM CUSTOMERS. I will be taking them to court over this but the time and energy and all the phone calls can not be accounted for. Shop around Advantages: Online shopping, Good deals. Money Makers Advantages: CDs/DVDs/games can be cheap, numerous bargains about Disadvantages: Condition of goods, price stickers leave sticky residue Cash Converters is not a bad place to stop for games on consoles new and old, and the Glasgow branch is right next to my bus-stop home!
