It works a treat on carpets, hoovers up all manner of rubbish and bits of stuff which end up on the floor. And as it says, it is very good for pet hair - even hair which has been pushed down into the carpet is hoovered up, so I'm delighted with it.
It's not so great on hard floors, I find it tends to blow dust around a bit, but I have such a small area of hard floor that I just brush it, so I don't feel I'm missing out from ... more

I have noticed that the tube for the attachments tends to pop out of its holder occasionally, which blows dust around, but that doesn't bother me too much. I can just put it back into the holder.
The hoover is easy to use, it glides around easily with not too much effort, and I don't find it too heavy. The stair brush is good, although I don't have stairs it is useful for getting into corners. The only gripe is that the on/off switch is operated by foot and is stuck under the cable tidy/attachment hose so isn't as easy to get at as it could be.
It is a bagless hoover, so it's very easy to empty. The cylinder pops out with the push of a button, I empty it into the bin, and the it pops back in with no difficulty at all.
All in all, I'm over the moon with this purchase, particularly given the bargain I got. I would recommend this to pet lovers in particular, especially those with carpets, but before you pay high street price, try Ebay.
