What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision
Advantages: Very Informative, WILL help you make the right purchase Disadvantages: Lots of adverts, price?
...I bought an issue of What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision. This magazine contains articles and mini tests on everything, you guessed it "sound and vision".
All the information and technical advice required to make my decisions easier was in the magazine. They review equipment for the average person right through to the "money no object" type (i'm the afore mentioned I hasten to add!).
After 2 hours of reading (easy to understand) I was able to make a short ... ...scores". This is partly what appealed to me.....getting a non biased opinion on the equipment I was looking at, rather than the rubbish that some shop staff will tell you in order to depart with your money in their store.
Also taking up quite a few pages were the various shop adverts....love em or hate em, it helped me to realise what was available on the market and at what price.
CONCLUSION
£4.10 isn't cheap for a magazine, where one third of ...

If you're not online this mag is great.
Advantages: Well published, Always something to read, Always upto date Disadvantages: Expensive/ not good value for money, News and reviews can be found on the net before hand, reviews and articles are not that great
...main interest now is mainly DVD and has been for the past 2 years almost. So before I was all netted up there was one magazine I would buy each month in order to quench my thirst for all things DVD related. This magazine was DVD Review. The magazine itself hasn't really changed much since it's launch in 1999. It still remains one of the most popular and well published magazines available. Each month it’s packed to the brim with both new Region ... ...articles that relate to specific DVD features or actor & directors. Also for a magazine I think it has some of the most useful adverts you’ll find. The vast majority are aimed at the DVD enthusiast; from new DVD releases for that month to online rental stores to home cinema equipment specialists. It’s definitely a great read if you’re a bit of a novice. Although if you really were a novice and wanted some more detailed advice I’d ...

DO NOT READ THIS OPINION - UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Advantages: Can be interesting, Good presentation Disadvantages: Adverts, Pointless Articles & Reviews
T3 is a monthly magazine costing £3.25 from most newsagents. T3 stands for 'tomorrow's technology today' and thats what its all about. The idea behind it is to show the public all the lastest gizmos & gadgets from around the world, although there will be articles that will interest every reader quite a lot of the reviews and gadgets that they show are well out of the price range of many normal people like me.
I only buy technology magazines if theres ... ...test of something similar. It might just be me but I don't see the point in spending over £40 a year (theres 13 issues) on a magazine that shows you items well out of your price range or that are just concepts and will never actually be made. If your interested in buying a a certain item or want to find out which is the best value for money (e.g. a camera) then why bother reading all this other nonsense when you can just look on the net or buy a ...

The best DVD magazine by far
Advantages: Comprehensive Disadvantages: A little too expensive perhaps
...interests had developed specifically towards DVD and home cinema. The steady deterioration of Empire and the poor coverage they afforded to home cinema meant that I cancelled my subscription and started to look elsewhere.
I tried Total DVD magazine and Hot Dog but have now settled on DVD Monthly. Cost is the same as Total DVD, namely £3.99 per month, but it has featured VCD cover discs since October 2000 which was some months before we saw Total ... ...spread across British and American DVD releases, film reviews, hardware reviews and competitions.
Each edition is 130 pages long with many colourful photographs and illustrations. Thankfully most of the advertising is neatly tucked away towards the back of the magazine. You can expect to see up to thirty British DVDs reviewed, ten American (Region 1) releases and a handful of speciality discs which would include music DVDs and also those with mainstream ...

Protect your Mobile Phone
Advantages: Police would be able to trace phone, if guidelines are followed Disadvantages: Makes job harder for the thief!
...gives very good advice on what you can personally do to make it difficult for your stolen phone to use by the thief.
I think it is always important before you use your phone to put aside details about your phone. Should it be stolen, these details would prove very useful, in tracing your phone, especially your 15 digit IMEI which is very special to your phone. There is another way this leaflet suggests and that is you key in *#06#, this allows your ... ...no and as a measure write (security marker) what you have put on the phone or battery. (if you are like me, my grey cells keep me from remembering details!)
Overall I think this is very good publication and the the advice, will motivate you to take heed! ...
