When it comes to car insurance, some insurers advertise themselves as cheap on television and then when you actually recieve an online quote, their prices are beyond ridiculous.
I find that the most expensive companies are the ones with the most television adverts and supermarket car insurance.

But then again i am a young driver.
This makes it impossible for me to find insurance under around a thousand pound, i literally spent months getting quotations, and although all the best quotes were similar in prices (enough not to make a difference) my biggest problem was that to put a deposit down i was going to need around £260 minimum, which i just could not afford all in one go.

I was recommended to Elephant by a work collegue who said that their deposits were low, anhd they also offer a 10 months booster insurance deal, which can give no claims bonuses after the 10 months.
This appealed to me immediately, and when i recieved the quote online i was satisfied, the insurance price for the term was the cheapest i had found, not by far, but by enough.

This is when i discovered my first problem, with elephant, if you wish to pay by monthly installments this cannot be set up on the internet, which means you then need to phone them.
I got told it would only take a few minutes but i was on the phone for nearly 20.

This didn't bother me too much as I was paying a deposit of only £80 which was a complete result in my eyes.
The customer service advisor went through the whole quote with me over again which annoyed me slightly, and then he tried adding extras like breakdown cover and injury insurance etc etc, but when it was completed i felt happy as i had recieved a decent quote with a good deposit and from a well known company which gives me a sense of comfort for some reason, i think reputation counts for a lot when it comes to insurance.

I feel satisfied with my insurance quote, the paperwork was sent through quickly and in detail so that i could understand exactly what i was buying into.

The only major problem i have with elephant is their advisors, who will not leave me alone now, i have had the insurance for 2 weeks and i have had 3 or 4 phonecalls, all at 9pm or later and each one has said the same thing..

'ive noticed you didnt apply for break down cover when you applied, so im just phoning to give you the opportunity'
each time i have told them that i was offered the breakdown cover and i dont want it, i am with the AA, and i do not appreciate being phoned at night.
If i get one more call i regret to say that i will file a complaint, I hate sales calls!!!!!!
