Advantages Cheap & does its job

Disadvantages : Doesn't particullary do much when used as a mascara

As anyone who is into the 'fashion scene' will know, for the past year or so big, thick, dark brows have been hugely in fashion. Lots of celebrities have been sporting this look - eg Megan Fox and Kiera Knightly. Obviously the aim of this look isn't to have eyebrwows so thick they appear bushy or manly, and it's important for them to still look groomed and slightly shaped to avoid them from looking like big, hairy caterpillars! To get the thick eyebrow look I simply grew my brows out and then had them neatened up and professionally shaped in a salon.

Although I have got naturally very dark hair my eyebrows are more of a dark brown colour and so I shade them in everyday with a dark eyeshadow or a black eyeliner to give them a nice amount of definition. To finish the look off, I add the ELF wet gloss mascara onto each of my eyebrows, which makes my brows look lovely and well groomed, and I don't worry that my eyebrows will look messy or fuzzy.

The clear gloss and lash mascara can also obviously be used for eyelashes as well as eyebrows. It gives them a glossy, healthy look and can be either used underneath mascara or ontop of mascara. The product is clear and dries clear, so it doesn't add any nasty white colouring to my lashes at all. This product is only available from ELF (eyeslipsface) and is priced at an impressive £1.50 for a tube containing 2.5ml of product, however as I purchased my tube when they had their 50% sale on I paid just 75 pence - what a bargain!! I wish i'd got more now, but even at the full price the product is still great value.

The tube that it comes in is like a clear mascara tube. The product is double ended meaning it has two brushes on it. The two brushes are shaped differently with one been for the lashes and one for the brows. The brow one is quite short and stubby with compacted bristles while the lash one is a decent size with impressively large, well seperated bristles. I love the fact that it is double ended as this way there's no worry that I will get mascara on it from my lashes by mistake and then transfer the mascara onto my lashes (not a good look!)

I use the eyebrow brush daily and I use the lash one less regulary as I don't really see much point on using the product on my lashes when I use mascara anyway but hey, that's my personal preference. To use it I simply hold the brush and brush through my eyebrows in one direction to neaten them up and get all of the hairs to go in one direction. It leaves them looking glossy and well cared for. I was a little concerned at first that it would look like i'd put hair gel in my eyebrows, however it doesn't. It doesn't leave my brows feeling or looking greasy/wet/etc and the healthy shine it gives is subtle.

The product keeps my brows in perfect shape and condition throughout the day so I can not fault it. It's easy to use and it's completely fragrance free so it doesn't smell cheap. The formula is nice and lightweight and the product is fabulous - I have almost run out and plan on buying another one as soon as possible. It's affordable and has multiple uses. It's also completely cruelty free as ELF do not test their products on animals. I would overall reccomend the lash & brow clear mascara!
