I have just returned from two weeks staying at the Atlantica Princess in Rhodes and had such a wonderful time that I felt compelled to write this review. Rhodes is a Greek Island which is situated in the eastern Aegean Sea just 11 miles from the Turkish Coast (on clear days you get a magnificent view of Turkey).
Our choice of this hotel and destination was purely through last minute panic at the beginning of the year where we realised that everywhere was quickly getting booked up! We began hunting through the various Thomsons brochures whilst checking availability on the internet. We were attracted to the all inclusive package that the Atlantica Princess offered as it worked out at around £12 on top of half board per adult per day and £8 on top of half board ...

I have just returned from a Thomson Gold Holiday staying at the Atlantica Imperial Resort Hotel in Kolymbia Rhodes. This hotel is described as a 5 star Deluxe!
We arrived at 2am on a sunday morning and were greeted by smiling staff and a sparkling glass of champagne. Great start this hotel is going to be fantastic.
A marble entrance with palm trees in the centre and a water fall. It looked wonderful. We were quickly shown to our rooms and our luggage was taken by a porter who did not hold his hand out for a tip.
We had chosen to stay in superior rooms which were like small chalets comprising of a four poster bed, slippers, bathrobes, wine and fruit. We also had a marvellous sea view, which I never tired looking at.

In the summer of 2002, my family and I went on holiday to Cyprus. This was the first time we had all ventured abroad as prior to this, I was only brave enough to book caravan holiday?s in the New Forest.
