I can't help smiling when I see Doug McClures name on a movie thanks to the Simpsons taking the micky out of him.
Anyhow here he is and to be honest he gives a decent performance
We follow the incredibly smart, but slightly distracted, Professor Aitken and his son Charles and Charles friend Greg as they go off in search of yep you guessed it, The Lost City of Atlantis.
They of course hire a very dubious and shifty looking crew who when they realise the untold wealth they may find decide to mutiny.
Along the way there is the obligatory sea monster, which looks very plastic and the Alien inhabitants of, the now deep sea, Atlantis.
Atlantis decides that it can take over the world and only Charles and Greg can stop them. They are helped by the very pretty Atlantian slave girl and soon they are ...
Advantages: Great voice-acting and plot. Disadvantages: Some plot holes and predictable ending.

I'm a big fan of the Disney cartoons, especially the movies with a bit of singing in them but I decided to watch Atlantis even though there wasn't a group of singing mice or Princesses in it. A cartoon about the lost city of Atlantis seemed too interesting to miss, especially since it was created by Disney.
I wasn't disappointed either.
The story begins with Milo Thatch, a young linguistic expert who is given the opportunity to search for the lost city of Atlantis. In this book as with many others the characters embark on a journey to try and find the legendary city of Atlantis. In Davidf Gibbins story, we are introduced to firstly Solon the LawMaker, then after the prologue we are taken to the modern era.
Here we meet our main characters Jack Howard and Costas Kazantzakis. The pair are aboard the Seaquest on a marine archaeology project as part of their duties for the International Marine University where Jack is a historian and Costas head of the technology dept.
From a series of random and seeming unlinked discoveries both on land and at sea they find themselves on the trail of a great historical mystery, and ultimately on a dangerous quest to get to the end ...
