Good old Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream, the lotion that every girl in the whole of the world must know of/used/heard about, now i am going to tell you some more about it to expand your knowledge:
Colour: medium brown
Texture: Thick & squeezy (like your vaseline goes when its overheated)
Smell: Medicated smell (that is probably the easiest way to describe it. I love the smell of it, however i do like the smell of products that other people generally dont)
Price: approx 19 pound for a 50ml tube.
Packaging: A long white tube with the elizabeth arden logo and name of product on the front in small black font, and on the back is a list of ingedients and a tiny paragraph about the product, again in a small black font. And the tube is in a plain white box with the same logo, name of product on the front, ingredients and a brief paragraph about the product on the back.
Where to buy: Elizabeth Arden counters, for example in Boots, Debenhams, House of Frasier etc..
Uses: Soothing all types of dry skin/ irritations. It is reported that celebrities use this product in place of their usual moisturiser, although I do use it on my face when i have dry patches occassional i wouldn't recommend slathering it all over your face every day/night, basically for the same reasons you probably wouldn't put a layer of vaseline all over your face (because it'll leave a nice shiny layer on your skin for about half an hour until it sinks in), Also can be used to as a lip balm to help dry lips (this is something i use the product for pretty much every day, and find it really useful), As a make-up product eg to highlight your cheekbones (I find this quite effective, unless of course its windy outside then it is probably best avoided, as im sure you'l already guess that sticky products and long hair blowing in the wind dont really mix well together!) it can also be used to neaten eyebrows an just give them a slight natural sheen. There are so many other uses for this product that im sure you'd never get bored with Elithabeth Arden 8 hour cream. for example people use it on the ends of their hair if it becomes static prone, as a hand/ nail cream, to help reduce red/sore spots, honestly the list is endless you could use this lotion for so many uses.
How long does it last?: Wel this is a good question, when i bought mine in June 2005, the lady who served me told me it would last approx 2 years, and i laughed, thinking there's no way a bottle that big can last that long if it is used daily. But long and behold it has lasted me until now and i am estimating (as i cannot actually see through the tube) that there is about a quarter of the bottle still left, and it is now the middle of January 2007. I use the cream/lotion pretty much every day, i always carry it in my bag therefore i am amazed at how long it really has lasted! So there you go, the cosmetic counter ladies really do know what they are talking about!!
I don't really know what else to tell you about this product i feel that i have covered all the important topics. But i would definately recommend that every women tries Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream at least once in their life, whether you love it or hate it it is essential that we all try it and decide ourselves!!
