Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream, appears to feature in pretty much every beauty and fashion magazine I had ever owned ... So being a sucker for advertisement and word of mouth fantastic ratings from friends I thought I'd give it a whirl ....
..... I purchased this while working at Eurotunnel so I did get discount standard price in general isn't to pricey for what the product does, Never has it been truer you get what you pay for!!
The product is packaged in a simple but elegant white tube with an easy access screw lid - I personally love the understated design - Buying the smaller version myself so it fit in whatever handbag I would chose to carry, nights out or days out this is a versatile product which covers a variety of beauty faux pas'
A little of this product is more than enough ...by little I mean a miniscule amount, the first time I used this product I got a little slap happy - It's safe to say I looked as if I had done ten rounds in the gym after running the london marathon and then chucked a bottle of chip fat over my face ... Ok maybe I'm exaggerating slightly ;-) ..... On a serious note you really do just need a dab the size of a petit pois.
The product itself is a peachy/brown coloured gel which does have a rather accquired smell. The gel works perfectly as a high moistureface cream, especially when sunburnt - meant I endure no nasty peeling. I was won over with that factor alone...some would say Im easily pleased - Ive just never found an after sun that worked so hard.
It works for many uses mainly for skin irritation. It soothes chapping, peeling and flaking of minor burns and is a godsend for cracked/chapped lips in the heat or cold winter months ... where lets face it we struggle and strive to look our very best.
I use it on my lips, as it is a great lipbalm (use a little bit) and an even better lipgloss (use a little more), although it is very sticky so use sparingly. It does leave a hint of peach and gives lips a volumised look possibly due to the tingly sensation achieved....The only downside for this is the taste that creeps into your both no matter what you drink...If the product wasn't good in other areas I could see why this would be it's downfall!
A little bit of advice if you have oily or combination skin, this might not be the best option to put on your face - Im only summarising as my skin doesn't have any specific category ... but I do notice a distinct shine on my face if used the night previous
Highly reccomend this product as it is an overall bargain despite what some may find a hefty price, Im a mahoosive fan and ensure I buy a tube roughly ever 10 - 14 months - I feel I use this product too often so maybe you wouldn't need to buy as often.....
