The brush is fat and the bristles are close together making the mascara coat each lash properly ,the most coats you'll need to apply is about 3 because it is a thick mascara.
Although it is a thick mascara it doesnt clump, so when you pull the brush out it is just the ... ...seperates the lashes whilest gently coating them.
It makes eyes look wide awake, curves them upwards i tend to wear it alone as it has a great natural effect and looks effortless!
Beauty tip: curl lashes before applying, it will fix the curl and you'll have a really defined look.
It is smudge proof and tried and tested cry-proof!! It is easily removed with a thin eye make up remover, which makes a brilliant ... more

Although it is a thick mascara it doesnt clump, so when you pull the brush out it is just the right consitency.
The brush isn't coarse, it seperates the lashes whilest gently coating them.
It makes eyes look wide awake, curves them upwards i tend to wear it alone as it has a great natural effect and looks effortless!
Beauty tip: curl lashes before applying, it will fix the curl and you'll have a really defined look.
It is smudge proof and tried and tested cry-proof!! It is easily removed with a thin eye make up remover, which makes a brilliant change from having to use industrial strenghth when removing previous"smudge proof " mascaras!!
It retails anywhere between £11-18 and is definatly worth the investment.

...very impressed. I have used Elizabeth Arden make up before but not the mascara.
It doesn,t clump and lasts all day!
Easy to remove but i use the elizabeth Arden eye remover and find it comes off quiet easily. Value for money is excellent as it lasts forver.
I wear glasses so finds it dosent irritate either.
Application is very good, definately would recommend. Have had comments like, Are those false eye lashs you are wearing?

I tried Elizabeth Arden double density mascara when my usual brand was not available, as my brand counter was next to the Arden counter and the consultant helped me with an alternative choice. I have to say that at first glance, the packaging is nothing to write home about, rounded oblong in shape, black with gold writing on it. I was also a bit dubious about trying something from Arden, as I had always got the impression that it was a brand for ... ...trendy and funky looking. Well ,all I can say is that appearances can be deceptive and never judge a book by its cover. This mascara went on like a dream, the first coat giving brilliant definition. When I applied a second coat, the results were really dramatic, my lashes were curled and separated to perfection and there was no clogging like you get with a lot of mascaras on the second coat. This product although overpriced is worth it, It is better to buy online than at your local department store as they are very expensive!, This mascara gives you extra long lashes without reallytrying, It does not leave clumps and nine times out of ten it leaves your eyelashes spaced apart perfectly, This mascara lasts the whole 3 months you are advised to keep mascara, And never loses its freshness or turns dry like some mascaras ive tryed, Mind you if you do decide to try your local department store you will recieve free items or you can request the make up lady trys it on you before you buy.Then after that buy online. ...

I bought this as part of a promotion from boots, even though I had never tried it before I decided to splash out.
Although it is quite pricey (I paid around £15 from boots for a normal sized one), this stuff is absolutely wonderful. It is by far the best mascara that I have tried. It goes on really nicely, and seems to make the lashes thicker and longer. It gives a nice finish which is not clumpy, and it does not give 'tarantula eyes' (because what could be worse!)
It is expensive, but so worth it and it really makes you feel a little bit special when you wear it. I highly recommend it. Although you may feel like you a paying for a brand name, this is the best mascara I have ever tried. 5 stars! ...
