If you are looking for a magazine which is both interesting to read, teaches you about methods of making, ... ...magazine for you.
The only disadvantage is that its a little more costly than the other magazines, but if you want to have quality you have to pay alittle more. Also its a shame that its monthly as I would like more than 12 issues in a year. ... more
I started buying this magazine from a friend who had a wonderful modern designed house. I was looking for a magazine that would help me to design a modern home, and this is what this magazine has done. The articles in these magazine are varied so that there is different types of designs in each magazine so there is always something for everyone. every article is well laid out with information about the design and an extensive list of the products being used in the article. There is also a brilliant list of suppliers for the articles. The products are sources from a variety of places and alot of the products are affordable and range in prices. They also source alot of the products from smaller boutiques or websites enabling people to have something different in their homes from the normal products which can be brought in local home stores. Advantages: Bright, glossy, contemporary Disadvantages: Heavy because its got so much in it
Elle Deco is always contemporary and tasteful, aimed at the female population with its often flowery interiors and few minimalist shots, it combines interiors with art.
The articles are well written and informative, in a friendly and accessible way. The stylists choose items that are well designed and compliment each other.
While I was at college, studying for my ceramics degree, I used to buy this every month, it celebrates glass and light, ceramics, ... ...masculine perspective, and very often Elle Deco and Wallpaper would have either the same or very similar objects in them, it was an interesting contrast between the (often) minimalist views in Wallpaper to the colourful, tactile world of Elle Deco - the same object could take on a whole new meaning in either light.... anyway...
I love this magazine, it gives me great ideas and is a good read. Definetly one for young people setting up a new home ...

Living etc has transformed what could have been considered a very stuffy, middle of the road magazine market. Dedicated to the young, the trendy and just about anyone else who buys into the whole Ikea Generation thing, the mag feaures the houses of many a cool young thing, without the budget of those featured in ElleDecoration. But it doesn't stop there, for there is a huge range of info on everything related to lifestyle, from easy going property information, to DIY advice from Dad, and shopping reports from around Europe,and all products featured are generally available either by post, or throughout the country at prices that won't break the bank. ...

Advantages: Good for Home Decoration Ideas Disadvantages: Can be expensive
his new home with his wife, this describes the work they are having done to their house to fix it the way they want to. Personally I do not think this is such a good idea, as if you wanted this sort of information the reader would be buying Hello or OK, but that is just my opinion.
Summarising this magazine is aimed at 20-40 year olds, with a fair amount of money to spend on their homes. These people are likely to be interested in good design and be willing to pay for it. However this magazine is not as elitist as such magazines as Wallpaper or ElleDécor, the cost of items displayed in these magazines is substantially more. Overall the coverage is quite good, though it could do with more information on how to do things. ...
