Introduction
We have three computers in the house, one desktop & two laptops which are used wirelessly. Previously, I had a simple low cost printer connected to the desktop. This was fine but in recent months use of the desktop has declined so it has stood unused most of the time. To print it was a case of transfer document to USB stick, switch on desktop, print from USB stick, switch off desktop. What a pain !!
I decided enough was enough and after researching the market for multi-function wireless devices I decided to purchase the Epson SX515W as it looked good, had all the features I wanted and was a good price.
Installation

Advantages: Cheap, looks great, lots of connectivity Disadvantages: Doesn't appear to be designed for the UK, oddities and annoyances in the user interface
My DVD player started to misbehave so I decided to replace it. I discovered the EllionDVR-900A on Scan?s website for £140 (as one of their specials) with five pieces of media thrown in.
My first impressions of the box were good. It?s a very attractive piece of kit. The front display is almost invisible until you power the box up and you realise that the silver panel on the box is translucent.
Next to the front panel are the usual connections under a flap, including s-video. Another array of connections are available on the back of the box. A criticism of early versions of this recorder was that it only had a single scart socket. The latest version has two so this is no longer a problem.
