Elo's chassis LCD monitors have a long-lasting product cycle because the enclosure is controlled by Elo's specifications. Future panel improvements are therefore possible without external changes. The monitors are available with multiple touch technologies and all feature a unique, injection-molded minibezel and watertight seal, plus a multitude of mounting options. The 1747L is available with Elo's projected capacitive technology, which enables touches to be sensed through a protective layer in front of the display. The DirectTouch model includes a 7.8 mm sensor with tempered glass outer layer and a minibezel with watertight seal. ThruTouch touchmonitors include only the touch sensor layer and are designed to work behind customer-supplied non-metallic materials (e.g., a store window, vandal-resistant materials up to 18 mm thick, oversized glass). ThruTouch offers true flat surfaces without bezels, as well as unsurpassed resistance to impacts, scratches and vandalism commonly found in public-access applications.
Advantages: Value for Money, Trusted Brand, Quality Picture, Ease of Use Disadvantages: Slow Face Tracking,
...I recently decided to upgrade my aging Pace webcam and after looking at various models of new super dooper cams I plumped for the Microsoft Lifecam VX3000.
Microsoft seem to dominate the world with products nowadays, however it is a name you can trust and generally you get a good quality product. This was true when I received the unit, it had a quality feel to it.
Microsoft have various incarnations of their webcams ranging from the entry level VX1000 to the highly specced and highly priced VX6000, whilst I suppose you pay for what you get, i was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the images from the unit.
After the installation of the drivers from the enclosed CD, it's a straight foward process, just plugging into a spare USB socket and windows recognises the device and loads the drivers for it. It will then go through...

Advantages: Ability to print straight onto the surface of a CD Disadvantages: Front door flap for outgoing paper tends to bang down giving you the impression that it may break
...I had no idea printers these days had the ability to print as fast as this one does, until there was an IP3000 bought for Christmas. It seriously feels like as soon as you put the paper in, the printer has done its job and spat it out again! Fantastic!
I have noticed there is a higher model of this called the IP4000 which can print slightly faster. But if you ask me, an extra £30 purely to save an extra couple of seconds on print isn't worth it.
Heres why this printer is an amazing contraption:
^^^^ Features ^^^^
I suppose the most noticable function the IP3000 can perform is printing direct onto a CD surface. There is a CD drawer in which you simply insert a blank CD and away you go. Of course you would need blank faced CDs. The cheapest ones I managed to find were from PC World. They're Verbatim make and they cost £6...
