I have never use the front audio and mic ports until recently I want to use Skype on this machine [I was still using it on my older one]. Then there is a problem. The front audio and mic ports do not work! I have opened up the case and examine the connections from the motherboard to the front unit and the connections are intact and correct. Only the rear audio and mic ports are working as they should be. The firmware and utility of my motherboard are up to date and so does my audio drivers. There is LiveUpdate programme that will check these. So it is either down to a faulty front audio/mic port units ...

There was a time when Sony was one of the most trusted and successful electrical brands on the planet. But it seems that with this product they have let themselves down considerably.
What is it?
The purpose of this device is to provide you with e-books that you can read on the go, and from the 6 inch screen. But i'm afraid i'm going to have to throw the book at Sony (sorry bad pun). This product is in fact completely pointless - why spend the best part of £200 on an electronic device that is harder to read than a real book?
Is it Worth my Dosh?
