performance is in true hifi quality and the cabinet is very solid and strong build, internal bracings ensure that there is no unwanted resonances from the sturdy and well-build cabinet. The high frequencies are reproduced by a new high tech 25mm soft (textile) dome tweeter with a large magnet system and a (magnetic-) oil cooled aluminium voicecoil. In front of the tweeter we have designed a special face-plate in "neopren" rubber-foam - this new faceplate ensures that there is no disturbing and unwanted high frequency reflexions/distortions from the baffleboard - the tweeter delivers a crisp and pleasant sound. The lower and midrange frequencies are handled by a 6" (165mm) woofer developed and produced especially for the Eltax Symphony .4 range - it has a one-piece polypropylene cone, rubber surround, large magnet system with a raised bump-plate for the long-throw twin-wound voicecoil. The large magnet and the accurate and well-build voice-coil ensures a very fast response and a high power performance - the woofer delivers a well-controlled and excellent sound.
...I recently purchased a pair of EltaxSymphony 8 speakers, I was shocked to discover just how good sounding they were. With 250W of power, they're definately loud enough, they are capable of reaching breath taking volumes without a hint of distortion. With their beech, smooth finish and big front firing cone, these are a guarranteed star of the future. I bought them from a shop called Richer Sounds for far less than the nearest competitor's price, I paid £220 for them and I wasn't disappointed, I thoroughly recommend them and I'm soon going to buy their baby sisters the symphony4.2s for my shelfs. I conclude that Eltax are miles ahead of all other competition....

Advantages: very loud, cheap way to get good loud sound. Disadvantages: police knocking on the door!! and falling out with neighbours
...I haved owned a set of these speakers for roughly 4 years and is always a joy to have them turned up on high volume, they seem to be able to handle any type of music without any distortion, from the bass of rap and techno, to the more elegant tones of classical.
was so excited to get home and open the boxes and set them up to the hi-fi system, very easy to set up the normal positive and negative connections you get with most hi-fi speakers. Each speaker of mine has a power output of 500 watts which is plenty enough for home use and almost three times the output of my amplifier.
Sat there with my brother turned up the volume, made sure i played a track with a variety of bass and high pitch tones was amazed by the sound quality of the high pitch tones as on normal hi-fi speakers they distort fairly quickly but these sounded perfect...

Lost in Sound Review ofEltax Liberty 5 Speaker Packageby

Advantages: A marvel for the money Disadvantages: bulky if i really must complain
...a horrible dull thudding throughout anything, and I decided to let the sub go back to the very low frequencies and I would look for new speakers.
While shopping about, Eltax kept on catching my eye as a brand. Great sounding prices and with research great reviews too. Rather than plump for the whole lot, I dipped a toe into the water and bought a Liberty Centre. Bulky at 175mm h x 480mm w x 240mm d, finished in a simple and stylish light beech, and weighing in it a reassuring 7.4 kg I immediately expected pleasant results, and it did not disappoint. Crystal clear, with a crisp clarity to the vocals on the central channel usually reserved for dialogue, it also boasted nice bass, and a width and depth that belied it's centre speaker tag. While the vocals were pinpoint accurate, any ambient sounds it produced were thrown out around me, dwarfing...

Apparently this is a port of a budget Xbox title, but I have not played it so I can not compare. This is a simple racer where instead of speed you get a Monster Truck. So run over cars, and make stuff go smash? Nope, very little running... more
