...After hearing Rave reviews I bought one of these at around £310.
I was really looking forward to getting it, Anyway I was really disappointed, the big problem with this monitor is that the image isn't consistent across the screen.
It uses the cheaper TN LCD panel and because the screen is so big you really notice the poor viewing angle. The screen is noticeable darker at the top than the bottom.
To sum up, you get what you pay for, if you want a cheap big monitor for playing games and watching films then its OK. But if you want it for desktop or graphics work, forget it. Buy a screen with an MVA or other high quality panel.
Also don't forget if you go for any large monitor, make sure your graphics card will power it OK....

..., and Quad DDR2 Slots. I'll try to dig out which parts of the "6-Quad" claim are marketing garbage and which parts are actually worthwhile later on. It also proudly claims to be the "Gamer's Choice" (I'm tempted to think that should be "Gamers' Choice", but it would be a touch pedantic), but in a market so dominated by performance, who doesn't?

...For speed go for the P3, it is very fast but it is very expensive when compared to AMD counterparts.
P3's go from around 400Mhz to 1Ghz, and the later models make use of coppermine technology which should make them ever faster.
For the same price you could probably pick an Athlon about 150Mhz faster, or purchasing a Celeron or Duron, while reducing performance means you safe a small fortune.
P3's are the most reliable however, I have heard of people having compatibility problems with Athlons, but never with a P3.
The release of the P4 should see a reduction in the prices of the P3, which makes them a great option.
Overall the P3 is a very fast processor and you could do far worse than a P3....

The P182 is, like the P180, a great case for those who want a quiet but high-performance PC. My temperatures in this case were a good 5ºC lower than in my previous case, which I attribute to the separation of the two main heat sources - the PSU and the... more
