Let's start with the good stuff; the servo-assisted brakes are cracking! Without a doubt this bike has the best brakes of any scooter in its class. Add to that a great front-end presence and you're as safe as you're going to be on a scooter around town. That's it. That's all the plus points. Seriously. I have owned a 125cc Elystar for just over one year now. The Elystar is a much better scooter compared to that of other manufacturers, it features impressive security, unbelievable speed and acceleration and is a very confortable ride even over long, ruff and tiring distances - Facts - I have achieved 85mph on the Elystar 125 without modifications and without very much effort. (on a good day and on a empty straight road) 0 Mph to 50 Mph in about 5.5 seconds (aprox) and I'll place money on it since ive done it. The 150cc Elystar is a modern and very stylish 2 seater scooter with an efficient fuel injected 4 stroke engine. It looks very much like the new Honda Silverwing. It is a superbly practical commuter bike with good weather protection, great in built security devices and luggage carrying capacity. Unfortunately it gave me a lot of problems from new and went back to the dealer more times than it was been driven in the first few weeks. An excellent upgrade scooter from the Elyseo 125. I have found this scooter to be as reliable and agile but with a little more speed. It is capable of 70mph, so can easily overtake the HGVs on the motorway. Cruises at 60mph without difficulty over many hours of riding. The brakes are better on this scooter than the Elyseo, which is noticeable in wet conditions.
