HEWLETT PACKARD LAPTOP BUNDLE
Review of Tesco by DECISION1

Advantages: TERRIFIC LAPTOP AND ALL IN ONE PRINTER OFFER
Disadvantages: WILL NOT DELIVER AS PROMISED AND STILL ADVERTISED

...Hewlett Packard laptop computer through Tesco Direct. The price of this laptop was £399.00 and included a Canon all in one printer valued at £89.00. We were advised printer currently out of stock but laptop would arrive at our local outlet by 14 March 2008. We called in to our local outlet at 5.00pm on 14 March 2008 and were not surprised to find the laptop had arrived as we had never had cause to complain about Tesco Customer Service over the previous ...
...we would need to contact Tesco Direct. On arriving home we e-mailed Tesco Direct and quickly sent an e-mail to which we had a response within 24 hours. I could not believe the response. OFFER SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY AND NOT AVAILABLE THEREFORE NO PRINTER. I immediately contacted them again and to date have not received a reply. Whilst waiting I have checked the Tesco Direct site and the offer is still live. Additionally checked printer on its own. ... Read review

Employed by Waitrose.
Review of Waitrose by africagirl

Advantages: Bonus scheme, working for a more 'environmentally friendly' supermarket.
Disadvantages: Can be repetitive.

...of the smaller branches of Waitrose for about a year and a half now. I work on the tills and was also given the opportunity to train to work on the customer services desk. This was a benefit for me because I sometimes get bored working on the tills, so transferring to the customer service desk meant more contact with the customers and a greater variety of work to do, meaning less repetition. This is one of the benefits that Waitrose has to offer. ...
...When I first started at Waitrose I was welcomed by all the people I came into contact with. The training before you begin work is a little tedious, filling in various booklets and watching all the videos about the store. I was a little disappointed with my initial training though as I never got the chance to practice on the training till, I was just thrown in head first which was a little daunting, this being my first job. I was unfortunately even ... Read review

Positive review of working at WHSmith
Review of WHSmiths by jgarland

Advantages: Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and easy to learn.
Disadvantages: No till training when on work experience

I am currently doing work experience at Smiths and am enjoying it. The staff are friendly and easy to get on with. The manager is just as nice. Most of the customers are nice but you get a few bad ones but I just smile and bare it. Because I haven't been till trained I have to get my collegue to serve them which sometimes annoys the customer. I taught myself how to do cash and card payments as the till is touch screen. Then I was told I can't use ... Read review

TNS Mystery Shopping
Review of TNS Mystery Shoppers by Lisab3410

Advantages: Loads of visits, easy to use, easy payment
Disadvantages: Could get paid more for visits

...out Mystery Shopping Visits with TNS for a couple of months now and on the whole have enjoyed the experience. Mystery shopping involves going to a retail outlet and observing staff behaviour, cleanliness, availability of products, speed of service etc. I have done four visits so far. Two of these have been to supermarkets and the other two have been to have a pub meal TNS reguarly email different visits available and you can log on to their website ...
...few months I have found TNS to have far more visits available than the others. I have not been able to do any mystery visits for other companies. The process to signing up to mystery shopping is quite easy. Go the the TNS website and express an interest. They will send you a short test. Once you have completed this you will then be notified promptyly by email whether or not you have been successful. You are then able to sign up to visits either ... Read review

I Feel Old
Review of Toys R Us by Nathan_Innit

Advantages: Payed weekly at an acceptable rate
Disadvantages: I'm no warehouse man

To complete my thee pronged on where I've been just lately, enter a recruitment interview. That's right, the other week I started a job at Toys'R'Us.. and yes, it's probably not the best idea to write a review about your employer, although it's not my employer anymore. I will get to that part eventually, but let me talk you through what may sound like a dream job - I mean come on, it's working with toys! THE FIRST STEPS Some of you may know that ...
...looking for the ideal job for myself. Well, word broke out (through the local job listings) that Toys'R'Us was coming to my city. It would be an interesting move by the company, as it would be the first time they changed one of their Babies'R'Us stores (there was previously only two of them in the country so don't be embarrassed if you've never heard of them, now there's only one) and it would also be one of the smaller TRU's in the country. When ... Read review
