...I wanted to be a Avon rep. She told me all the benefits and what I could be earning if I stuck to it and that I could do it in my own time which I thought was great as I had college. I signed up and couldn't wait to get started. I had to pay £7 for the first 2 months for a admin fee which was a bit cheeky but didn't mind. I got a load of books free and all the forms and my own area to deliver the books and a book for me to write the numbers of ......campaigns people didn't really want Avon and was a waste of my time going out in the cold when I wasn't garntened a book back or an order even though i went there every night to try and just get the book . I then had some problems with my returns so I told the person in charge of me and they explained so I returned them online and did what it said and waited for the delivery man to sign my book. It never happened then I received letters so I sent ... Read review

...To get a job at asda you need to fill in an application form - this is available from the personnel department via writing, or from the customer services desk. To get to the next stage you will need to satisfy a points quota. Just so you know if you put "Asda", "Team" or "Teamwork" you will get one point for each mention! Plus I think you get a point for filling out your name and address correctly. And best of all it is multiple choice! Once you ......yourself, be told about the Asda regime and then be split into groups to have a tour or to do a group activity. These usually last a couple of hours and they will let you know if you have a job and on what department within a day or so. Don't be put off if you don't get offered a job, Asda are guilty of positive descrimination and have quotas of people that need filling. I used to work at Argos in Botley three years ago with two of my best mates. We all worked on a Sunday because we were given time and a half which worked out at about £50 for 6 hours work. My two mates worked on the jewellery counter and I worked on the tills. I think that this had to be one of the easiest jobs I have ever done. The morning would begin with a quick briefing talking about selling insurance and promoting the Argos card. Then the rest ......wanted to take out an Argos card or asking them if they wanted to protect their purchase. The job was really simple and the time used to fly by. Generally there would be three peak hours of 10.30am, 1pm and 4pm where the queues would be endless. However, apart from that the store didn't really get too busy. I would say the only drawback of the job was that during the really quiet periods the manager chose one person to walk around and get someone ... Read review

...this? Are you looking to BT as a possible employer, are you working for BT and want to see my opinions or are you a Customer? I have worked for BT for many years, in different roles and had better not say anything damaging!! Just to be clear, this is my opinion!! Overall I would say BT is a good employer compared with the rest however it is BIG and if you are very individualistic, parts of BT may not suit you. Lets just say that 'Dilbert' was alledgedly ......BT is (again) a BIG organisation, employing I imagine 200,000 people directly or indirectly across the globe. It has continual re-organisations and even if you've been here 20 years it can be difficult to find your way around. People's job descriptions can be misleading, you can make your own up and put it on the internal directory. This is compensated for by the fact that BT people are usually friendly and helpful. Lets look at BT's business. It ... Read review
