i work at morrisons currently and it is by far the worst place i could imagine to be employed. senior management are surly and rude, but on bad days they are generally worse. the store is usually understaffed, the reason for which will become apparent soon after you commence work there... there is an air of superiority over the shop floor staff by some management and i cannot for the life of me work out why... i don't think they realise that some ...

This week has really opened my eyes. I have been working in the Rushden warehouse of Morrisons and can safely say I'm astonished. The first thing which struck me was the lack of any English voices, mainly Polish are working there. The general vibe of the place is one of anguish, negativity and resentment. The job I was given was something which wouldn't have been out of place in the dark ages - constantly lifting 15kg boxes of vegetables off a conveyor ...
...was checking to see if any of the Polish blokes had a beard - disguising but at the same time revealing the great, late Jeremy Beadle. The Poles soon took advantage of the 'new boy' - watching with a great deal of pleasure as the Englishman struggled to keep up with the work output and they didn't lift a single greedy finger to help. ...total for each day... and I have to say it was quite hefty for just an induction; what with all the video's and questionnaires and role play's etc; but it gives a great overview of the company. I feel Fazel may have exaggerated a little with the chip and pin situation and I work on checkouts myself and I really can't see such things happening.
